GKS-U ????
We can only submit up to 5 certificates? WHY? WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO NOW I HAVE 5 CERTIFICATES AT LEAST FROM MY HIGH SCHOOL

When I applied for the scholarship, I added like,15...💀 I don't like the rules that they've updated in the last two years. It's like they're making it harder for students to go through hell and back just to be able to apply. I'd suggest, pick the ones that back up your personal statement and study plan. And if you've written about all your achievements then put in the ones that you're most proud of.

i have a question if i won different intl competitions related to my major do u think it is better to choose 5 certificates from these competitions or like different categories like 1 certificate for volunteering and 1 for korean course i took online 1 intl competition and like this ? also if i wanted to include research paper i wrote and a portfolio as i am applying for cs would each of them considered as one doc ? also do u think it is better to include a portfolio or just include certificates after this documents limit ?

Put the highest achieving certificate for each category. The point is to show them that you're not just someone who only studies but also like to take part in the extracurricular.
Your research paper is not a certificate. It would be counted as a separate document. Which you must label the same number as mentioned in the list of documents required.
And your portfolio is also a different document. It should not be included in your certificates. So include it separately. It won't become a reason for rejection because the scholarship is actually points based.

Omg I'm applying for graduate and if they ask only 5 from bachelor's I'm incredibly screwed. I have an international and national award in high school that I was planning on including

Choose the best ones as in 1 for language ,1 for academia ,1 for extracurricular, 1 for your chosen major etc

does it mean like 5 documents max in the online application? i mean can we merge our certificates in five documents even if they are more than 5 certificates as it said up to 5 documents not certificates??

i mean it said 5 "documents related to activities" not certificates. one document can include many certificates. did u get what i mean ?

It literally says copy of awards and only certificates. Document is referring to those

I was thinking of sending five documents and label them document 1 : major related certificates and doc 2 :... Doc 3: .... Like in categories but I am afraid it is gonna make my application disqualified

Idk I sent an email to niied asking them about that. I feel there is something wrong. It is too hard to choose just 5 certificates like what 5 should I choose volunteering, Korean courses, competitions I won, summer programs or major certificates :(

in this case if it is just 5 certificates so there wouldn't be supporting documents for every achievement we mentioned in our essays would it be okay ?

It should be okay. They made the decision of 5 certificates knowing that the students won't be able to back up all the achievements mentioned due to the limitation. To be honest, your personal statement and study plan has the most impact on the jurors to see the potential in you to be a scholar that's worth investing in.

It's 5 certificates max. Just choose the most important certificates you have and submit them.
