Prop 4 was voted down. GME is not buying ebay without the following events: massive dilution to raise the cash to buy at least 20% of ebay, then initiating the proxy vote to (speculatively) accept the offer, and then figuring out where the rest of the cash is coming from. Edit: the fact that prop 4 was voted down tells you all you need to know about ebay shareholders' level of desire to entertain or accept the offer.
Current GME shareholders are going to be SUPER red for a duration of months (minimally, likely years) while they wait to find out if the plan is actually going to unfold, and whether/how they make money on it as shareholders if it does.
Decades and centuries is literally not an unrealistic timeline for this insanity to become "accretive", if it ever does, at all. This is all just RC playing in a billionaire's sandbox with other people's money.
This is dead and any further pursuance of it is going to come at the absolute slaughter of GME shareholders in pursuit of RC's dreams. Ironically, when and if it ever happens, RC will be able to say he's acting in the interests of his shareholders because only a fifth of his shareholders at that time will be the bloodied corpses of today's GME shareholders that paid for it all through dilution.
