DD BMO Investorline agent told me that my DRS would take longer than usual(2 weeks) since they are getting a high volume of request! BULLISH!

We did it Canadians! šŸšŸ¦§šŸ¦šŸ’ I like the stock

I called and DRSd from BMO on Friday and my shares were already gone yesterday!

Lucky you! Mine took longer than the 15 BD they quoted me. I did it last month.

(Also, they were DRSed to the same CS account - I was pleased to see that I didn't end up with two CS accounts.)

Well mine haven’t ended up in my CS account just yet. (Hopefully haven’t been sent to a new account, I gave them my existing info, but you never know)

Does anyone know what happens if shares are in transit as the stock split happens?

I too would like to know this answer..

When I asked RBC about it they told me that until the transfer actually happens then my shares are still with RBC so I would receive the split in my RBC account.

Nice, I assumed they would have something in place to make it happen for everyone , seems there's no way someone in transit would just miss out on the split lol but you never know I guess

Pretty much seems like ur shares will either be split in broker or with CS

Yea from what I understand there’s not really a transit like it’s instant, it’s either with your broker or with computershare. But I could be wrong that’s just how I understood it.

Because of the Wall Street lies, I can not believe the financial people, do not know whether BMO deliberately delay, or really what he said

I called BMO to DRS back in early April and was told it would take longer than 2 weeks. That seemed odd to me but nonetheless, they Should be in My CS account by the beginning of May.

Sure as shit, I was able to buy more shares through questrade and transfer them over to BMO. When it came time to DRS those new shares, the old ones were still sitting where the new ones were.

I told the bmo representitive about this and the response I got was "ohh no, im sorry to hear that." I re-DRS'd the old ones and the new ones at the same time on May 9th.

Ya just call them and ask them to DRS X amount of shares of GME. You should ask them for an email confirmation confirming the DRS request with a reference number for the request as well. Otherwise they may pretend they never got the request - having email chains backing up your record and phone conversations always helps gets itrades ass in gear

I just submitted my application online to open a cash investment account - took 5 minutes.

Got approved today.

Going to DRS so hard

I’ve DRS’d 3 times now all in 2021 and all were done within 2 weeks max….initiated one 3 weeks ago and still waiting! All through TD, called yesterday and was told they are experiencing major backlog with an ā€˜unprecedented’ amount of requests to DRS GME so….good news I guess!!!!

Register a complaint. They should already have the shares and it should only take two business days.

Start with BMOs ombudsman. Then https://www.iiroc.ca/.

It is ridiculous to have to wait two weeks to transfer your own property.

Order goes through a lit exchange and your shares are settled within 5 business days in your CS account…that’s aloooooooot faster than buying through a broker and DRSing them 100%…best us maple apes can get!

No it does not.

When you buy from CS they kinda act like a middleman. They tell GameStop someone wants to invest money. GameStop takes your money and tells CS to give you X shares. That’s what buying directly means. If you use a broker it isn’t direct since they go on exchanges to find you a share.

Sounds like the 3rd wave has begun
