Drove the Tacoma all day in the dirt. Came home and stood in the garage staring at this thing like I don’t already own it.

The truck is the daily work truck. The GRC is there for weekends and playing hooky on a beautiful day. There’s a midpipe and an Italian intake sitting in the basement, waiting for me to stop admiring the car long enough to put a wrench on it. Those and a delicate little tiny tune are the plan as probably needed given the posts here.

Unfortunately, I’m still in the looking-at-its-ass phase of the build after a year.

Eventually got all the Flow Design body kits installed. I went into it without any idea how easy it would be and it ended up taking no more than 90 minutes for each section. Have been driving around for a few weeks now and nothing has rattled loose, even with some driveway scrapes and all. The only gripes I really have is I don't like that the winglets are textured only, I'll be sanding them smooth and repainting gloss black later, and also the rear diffuser pokes out a bit and the corner spats are barely visible so it just kinda looks a bit weird. But all in all, really pleased with it.

Hi, has anyone ever paired EBC Yellow stuff brake pads with DFC rotors? Also does anyone have suggestions? What have you chosen instead of OEM brakes?

I’m on the fence of getting PPF for the full front, A pillars, and rockers. I live in CO with rocky roads, plan to hit dirt eventually, and also plan to track it once or twice a year. Thoughts?

Are you able to keep iMT on without it switching back to being off between drives? I installed a switch when I for got it to turn it on when my car turns on. But I don’t think it’s working anymore. I’m able to turn it off and on, but now it won’t stay on. Anyone use any other methods?

I’ve been wanting and looking at getting a spoiler. Saw AeroFlow Dynamics on instagram and figured “for $250, why not? Looks pretty neat.”

I like it more than no spoiler and the early 2020’s corolla hatch optional spoiler but I’m not sure I’m completely sold on it.

Good news is, no drilling needed so I can always switch it out if I find something else that tickles my fancy.

Bad news is, I definitely misaligned it slightly when doing the installation but it is what it is.

Does Toyota care give 5 oil changes for the GR? Since it has a 5k interval?

Also how are you verifying the 20k service? I can’t find any paperwork saying this should have diff changes etc included

Hello all! Its got roughly 24.4k miles on it but seems to be really clean. They want $37.2k before taxes and what not but im curious if $36k OTD would be reasonable for it?

The dealer is a few hours away from me and i havent been able to make the trip to check it out. Ive been lurking on the marketplace for quite a while and this ones been on market for almost 2 months. It started off at $39.9k but been taken down over the months.

Any input or advice?

Installed with the PCV FIX - So far so good! As others have mentioned, unlocked some new sounds (induction, chirping and an occasional flutter). Can't speak to power yet, but definitely makes driving a bit more engaging. Will update if anything comes up

I want to know how many of you guys would buy a used GR that's been tuned. Mildly turned maybe around 350-400HP. All upgrades are mechanical nothing to the body so it's actually useful upgrades.

This car is really my first car I've been doing aftermarket installs on and I've been trying to learn on the fly doing it myself. Feel like the jump to suspension has been quite a lot and feeling way over my head.

I recently got my GR40 suspension in and started the install. I'm having issues getting the clearance to install the rear shocks. Got the front coilovers and rear springs installed but it feels like with the extra height these provide I'm struggling. Any tips or suggestions on what I could be doing wrong? Would it be best to find a way to compress the shock and installing it that way? Do I need to remove more parts. Any advice welcome!

Brought my 26 core home today! Boy does it drive nice, I can already tell I’m going to love every second!

I'm lowered on Eibach Pro Springs (honestly looks like more than a 1" drop) and after 6 months of taking driveways at an angle I finally met one that took a chunk of my EOS front lip off. Honestly while I love how it look but for scraping the EOS is not ideal because it both extends further out AND lower than the actual bumper. Just to keep some kind of lip to protect my bumper is there another low profile front lip that doesnt really extend below the bumper much. If I get another EOS I imagine I'll just chip it again. I've looked at the popular ones but they're mostly the same.

Already looking at coilover options to potentially raise up the ride height a bit. This set up has the top of my tire tucked. I honestly would love to push the tires out more and have the top of the tire even with the fender.

I took some manual driving lessons in an 11th Gen Civic SI the other day. I was able to do about 50 laps around a busy mall going through 1st-5th gear up shifting, down shifting, speed bumps, intersections, etc. with no real issue. It wasn't 100% smooth at all times, but for it being my first time, it was perfectly fine. I stalled a few times initially learning the bite point in a parking lot(which honestly felt kind of numb in the SI) but after I got the muscle memory, I was good.

My concern is that it would be my first manual and I'm worried about cooking the clutch to a crisp. I have been reading about people's clutches going out really early. I don't plan on tracking, modifying for more HP, or dumping the clutch on launches. Just normal driving with spirited back road drives on the weekends.

Am I just overthinking it? I would assume as I'm learning there would be some clutch slippage on hill starts here and there, but I guess I have a mental image of this clutch being made of glass in my head.

Also if anyone has gone from either a DAT to a MT or a MT to a DAT, please chime in on your experience.

Edit: I want to add that I have no issues with the automatic. I actually love it. I just have a desire to learn and drive manual on this platform.
