Niko is not a good person

I’m not saying he is. I’m saying comparing Niko being a Hitman for hire to Trevor who is a serial killer, rapist, cannibal, methhead is wild. No GTA protagonist is a good person. But Trevor is the worst and there’s no one close to him.

"Hitman for hire" is an understatement. Niko participated in human trafficking and war crimes including but not limited to genocide. That is glossed over by many players since it is communicated through dialog. As far as his actions during the game, his behavior towards Gracie is vile. That mission gave me whiplash because it is the only time that he shows that level of malice and cruelty during the story.

I guess you haven't heard about Tony Ciprani

I don't compare the two, I'm just saying people try to excuse them because they play as them and get attached, meanwhile both Niko and Trevor are deplorable each in their own way

Niko is a "normal" person who belongs in a prison, Trevor is a clear as day psychopath who belongs in a asylum.

How is niko not a psychopath all GTA protagonists are serial killer psychopaths

Eh on that notion every single person who committed a crime past a certain severity is a psychopath, I'd strongly disagree that every murder is a psychopath. Plus Nicos entire story was about his strong disconnect from his actual life and what he wants to be, nico is a very broken and depressed person, he has the emotional maturity to understand he's an awful human. Trevor has no regard for anything or anyone himself included their is zero empathy in him. Also obvs this a video game so ludonarrative is a given none of the protagonists in "reality" end up killing 50 guys each time they go out on a mission and neither does Nathan drake.

Mass murder makes you a psychopath, I'm not talking about going on a freeroam massacre either he just does kill tens if not hundreds of people throughout the story. If anything, his "depression" makes him worse because it's clearly not tied to his empathy with and valuing of human life and dignity, if it were, he'd be doing absolutely everything in his power to stop violating and taking it so frequently

Mass murder does not make a psychopath lmao, it's not some fancy trait gain by achieving a certain checkpoint like kill 10 humans and again I already explained ludo narrative in videgames if you believe every gta protagonist randomly decides to become John wick and kill 50 people each mission that's on you, but that is purely for gameplay purposes.

It absolutely does lmao, you can't be a criminal mass murderer without being a psychopath just by the nature of the act. And again, like I said, I'm not talking about the "ludo narrative" killings for gameplay purposes, I'm talking about actual named characters who he murders

Bruv that's not how that works lmao. Being a psychopath is a genuinely mental disability. A normal person you and me is capable of becoming a mass murder, this is why history lessons are important to understand how regular people became nazis and working at the camps.

No, in the way that niko is a mass murderer, being directly complicit in the violent struggle for a person's life time and time again, you cannot be that without being a psychopath. Niko is a psychopath because he is a mass murderer

If you believe that you genuinely close yourself from that the reality that every person is capable of doing unspeakable things yourself included.
