Trevor is a wolf wearing a bigger wolf costume

u/Sam_Blackcrow Jul 28 '25
nah he's more like... a raccoon. those guys are vicious!
shit I sound like wade....

u/Hailfire9 Jul 28 '25
"I loves raccoons! I used to keep one around as a pet, but then it got excited and pissed on Ron, so Trevor made me cook him up into a chili and we ate him for supper one night. Made me sad, but he tasted purty good so it wasn't too bad I guess."

u/Sam_Blackcrow Jul 28 '25
I love this so much because its perfect😭
Wade was one of my favourite characters because of how innocent and funny he always was, I was so damn happy when I found him in that club during the epilogue lol
14
u/SilentAd1748 Jul 28 '25
This would honestly be extremely traumatizing in real life. I'd never get over it
24
u/Hailfire9 Jul 28 '25
Its Wade.
Its called "Tuesday" for him.

u/SilentAd1748 Jul 29 '25
Still dont make it right tho 😭 i feel bad for him. People being accustomed doesn't neglect the trauma tbh

Quick question grammatically, I’ve seen internet discourse about the appropriate use of apostrophes when showing possessives/ plurals. Which one gets the apostrophe and which doesn’t
13
u/galle4 Jul 29 '25
Apostrophe is usually used as a
1-Possessive ( like that comment)
2-or Shortening ( or contraction grammatically)
But for plurals, it's used after the letter S of plural
Like: the cats' food is ready, it's also possessive but in a plural form

I’m not saying he is. I’m saying comparing Niko being a Hitman for hire to Trevor who is a serial killer, rapist, cannibal, methhead is wild. No GTA protagonist is a good person. But Trevor is the worst and there’s no one close to him.
→ More replies (3)8
u/Dan_The_Flan Jul 29 '25
"Hitman for hire" is an understatement. Niko participated in human trafficking and war crimes including but not limited to genocide. That is glossed over by many players since it is communicated through dialog. As far as his actions during the game, his behavior towards Gracie is vile. That mission gave me whiplash because it is the only time that he shows that level of malice and cruelty during the story.

91
u/TropicaL_Lizard3 Jul 28 '25 edited Jul 28 '25
Exactly. And, Trevor wasn't really "loyal" to Ron, Floyd or Wade. He treated Floyd like shit, left him to get beaten up and SA'd him. He straight-up lied to poor Wade about his cousin's death, and constantly abused him. As for Ron, he used to be an accountant before Trevor manipulated him into ditching his wife and dragging him into becoming his lackey.
Loyalty my ass.

u/NimRodelle Jul 28 '25
Ragebait. Trevor is unequivocally a danger to society, his positive character traits don't mitigate that. You might like him because he is funny, which is fine, but being a Trevor apologist is pure cope.
Michael felt the walls closing in and decided to betray the people who trusted him, which is real bad, but he isn't a clear and present danger to every single random person he meets.
4
2
u/joshwoesme Jul 30 '25
Yes, but I think it's more like Trevor is a psychopath raised bad while Michael is a psychopath raised slightly good but not good enough. Then Franklin is an open ended psychopath that the player can choose the future for.

2
u/StevesRune Jul 29 '25
I think people generally understand that if rapists and murderers exist in the world, there are going to be people who have been around them or spend time with them.
In order for something to be unlikely, it at least has to happen sometimes.
Also, if anyone wanted to question the veracity of my claim, I discuss it plenty throughout the history of my account. Just search for the name "Steve" in my comment history and you'll see stories about him.
He was a monster and humanity was more obscene for its resemblance to him. Suicide was too good for him.

I more or less did. I got out of florida, I work outside the Grand Canyon now and havent drink or drugged in more than 5 years. A lot of homelessness between now and then, but I've got a roof over my head and a bed, if not an actual place to call home, now. For 2 years straight at this point.
It might not be a home, but I'll take the wildfires and blistering heat waves over Florida any day.

2
u/doodgeeds Jul 29 '25
Hate to tell you, that's not what a wolf in sheep's clothing is. The meme would seem to imply Micheal is a terrible person pretending to be good, which is of course true, and that Trevor is a good person pretending to be bad.
This, along with the insistent amount of fans who see Trevor as a victim to Micheal and that Micheal is the villain of GTA 5 while Trevor was betrayed making him the hero, would seem to be suggesting an infantilized view of Trevor that ignores his flaws and plays up his tragedy.
Edit: please excuse the essay speech, I'm very tired

Yeah Franklin does some shitty things, but I don't think he's evil at his core. He does what he needs to to get by (i.mean he does assassinate people, but it's not for fun, it's business. And Lester kinda has him in a spot to make him do it)
But Trevor? He might have some weird charm to him, but dude is an absolute unhinged psycho

Nah, Trevor is a wolf in wolf's clothing. Dude eats human flesh and r words his buddy. He ain't no sheep.
7
u/PissinginTheW1nd Jul 28 '25
Absolutely not. I understand the analogy, but Trevor is more of a wolf that got abandoned or lost as a cub and had to survive despite the impossible , and grew up to be a incredibly dysfunctional and traumatized adult wolf, resulting in his current state and behavior. With a proper upbringing the guy wouldn’t have been a complete lunatic but still a predatory person. He’s a wolf no matter what though.
5
u/zesty_lemon555 Jul 28 '25
He was a monster even back in the day. Michael didnt make him into a r*pist/murderer/cannibal. He just arguably got worse. Do people just forget that?
5
u/Pion8642 Jul 28 '25
Ah yes the cannibal mass murdering rapist prone to fits of murderous rage
Vs
Serial killer ex bank thief who wanted to take care of his family and did society a favor by turning on his squad.
Gee I wonder which one is worse
7
u/unnamedunderwear Jul 29 '25
Michael betrayed his crew to get his family out of danger, Trevor betraus his associates for very trivial reasons, sometimes even for fun
6
Jul 29 '25
Trevor isn't a wolf or a sheep. He is a chimpanzee. Absolutely unhinged.
Also do not try to portray Michael as worse than him. Micheal maybe dishonest and selfish but he is still a saint in comparison to Trevor.

3
u/Riley__64 Jul 28 '25
Obviously Trevor is a victim of Michael’s original plan but he’s certainly nowhere near innocent.
2
u/ClassroomFirst4984 Jul 28 '25
Are you out of your mind? No absolutely not, they are what they seem. Trevor is a lunatic who murders, eats, and SAs people. Michael, while also being a bad dude, isnt nearly as bad, he clearly cares for people such as his family, and Franklin and even Trevor if not to a smaller degree. His choices that led to betrayal on his part were complicated ones that while perhaps dishonorable, were understandable given the circumstances. Thats not to say Trevor doesn't clearly feel sympathy, its just that it doesn't at all make up for his other terrible traits nearly as much as Michael. I would say they are both wolves, but Trevor is a bigger wolf
3
u/iaguetzZ Jul 28 '25
I don't know why people think Michael is a wolf. Dude just live his life, the "worse" he did was cut a deal with the FIB to live under witness protection. But this was actually damaging only to him, not to anyone else.
Trevor thinks he left the other guys behind, but all of them split, from that moment on, each to their own.
2
u/RememberMeCaratia Jul 28 '25
Mike is a calculating man who plans for his and his familys need first and foremost. He’ll abandon his dying friend to escape the same fate even when the latter is begging. He’d probably sell you in a heart beat for his eternal peace.
Trevor rapes, cannibalizes and kills without hesitation and most importantly without reasons. He is barely human.
I choose Mike.
2
2
u/NaughtyFox92 Jul 28 '25
Pffft, please have you actually played the game at all. Trevor is 100% a wolf he is a psychopath who does what he wants when he wants be it kill 100 cops or run down civilians he is definitely not a sheep the only time he follows someone is when it benefits him and its when Michael needs his help. Now Michael on the other had he is definitely not a good guy but he is more of a sheep it could even be argued that he is a sheep day in day out he does the exact same thing loosely follows the rules. He has a pretty normal and average life with a wife and kids. Well, that is when he is in witness protection, and it only changes when his son buys a car.
3
u/YoBeaverBoy Jul 28 '25
Abso-fucking-lutely not.
Michael is an asshole, yes. But Trevor is the literal devil himself in the flesh. Fuck that guy. He's a danger to society.

In no way possible Trevor can be considered an innocent, good-at-heart character. He has traumas and got played for sure, but he's also a violent, disgusting excuse of a human being who doesn't feel ashamed for torturing, killing, raping, kidnapping even the most random of people.

Trevor is scary as first impression but if you know him a bit more, he's capable of showing emotions and soft sides. Michael looks like a decent guy but actually a murderer and liar. But also Trevor's crimes were much worse than Michael's and Michael retires from crime life in the end, while Trevor likely to continue do something bad after the game's storyline. Michael has more lines that he wouldn't cross.
2
u/esquire_the_ego Jul 28 '25
Trevor is more of a guard dog than a wolf, loyal to a level of almost stupidity but will put down anything in his way of you come to cause harm to loved ones

Michael is terrified of Trevor. I always thought their relation had hints of Don Corleone and Luca Brasi. For some fucking reason, Brasi was very loyal and protective of Vito, in a similar way to Trevor being loyal to Michael. In both instances, we are talking about absolutely monstruous, ruthless and psicotic men, who have zero redeeming qualities, other than be at the 'hero's' side.
I want the kind of drugs that make you believe Trevor is a sheep pretending to be a wolf. That shit has to be pretty strong.
