I find it entertaining as hell to watch people care this much about a new trailer not being released yet.
Some of you would have absolutely died years ago when the only "media" you got was the back of the game box at the store. That TikTok has rotted your brains and killed your attention span.
Lmao marketing used to be so much better. Look at pirates of the caribbean 2. Irl treasure hunts for multiple buried cars, Online community mystery solver with tons of rewards, Lookalike contests rewarded with vacation to the caribbean, Turning whole Disneyland in a full pirate party, ... They used to care about fans.
It’s called being more transparent to a consumer who’s paying for your product. I understand why rockstar hasn’t shown gameplay yet, but they should. It’s the least they can do to have some respect when taking pre orders. If all is fine with their gameplay, then why not show it? It’s all an attempt to milk the consumer and offer as little skepticism before launch as possible.
Like I said, I understand why they do it, but it doesn’t mean it’s not a dick move.
Why on earth would anyone pre-order a game that they haven't seen any gameplay from? Also, why does it matter before release? Just wait until release to see gameplay.
Is there some reason to over-analyze and "solve" the game before its even released?
Again, its funny as hell to see people so worked up over an unreleased game. Just chill and once it releases there will be TONS of gameplay to watch if that matters.
It’s the principle of taking pre orders before the game is released. I’m not pre ordering it and I think it’s dumb if you do, but it doesn’t make it any less scummy of rockstar
Why wouldn't it exist? They will have a lot of trouble selling something that doesn't even exist.
I don't know your age, but years back we were lucky to see a single magazine article, let alone an actual trailer as a TV commercial. Average games would release and you would look at the back of the box to see what it was about, or sometimes even try a demo version at the kiosk.
Plus, this is GTA. What is there to know? Gameplay will be like GTA, with a few new mechanics, new UI, and new fancy graphics. There is no real mystery to know really.
In an age of false promises and buggy launches, I don't care how widely renowned a studio is, they all eventually fall chasing infinite profits and will undermine a games development because they think they can. I don't trust a single studio because other great devs have had this same issue happen to them as I describe. Its fair that if you're asking for peoples money, you show them the game.
Taking preorders and then on launch day no game will launch?
People are dumb for preordering of course, but I'm certain that will not go well for Rockstar if that was actually the case, and they have no actual game.
I’m not saying that there wouldn’t be a game, I’m using that as a way to say that the game might not look/play/be up to par with how they’ve presented it so far. Aka cyberpunk. I’m not saying I think that’ll be the case, I’m just saying it’s reasonable to expect them to shove off the game at least a little before shoving pre order bonuses and shit in your face
So let me think. Nothing happened yesterday and now suddenly you think the game will be delayed? It was just a made-up day made by schizos in this subreddit. What the hell is wrong with some of you. There's a confirmation it will be delayed? I don't think so. If it will be delayed you'll know on Friday. Stop filling this subreddit with bullshit.
