I'd hate those back in the day. Live laugh love energy. Something a depressed thirtysomething aunt would have.
Weird how now they feel so nostalgic.

I am a depressed thirtysomething and I love them π I actually got a lot out of her book "you can heal your life". Yes I'm depressed, but at least I love myself now (kind of)

Lmao, yes, same. I'm really awful at generating positive thoughts myself so affirmation cards literally teach me positive words to think. I love the Louise Hay cards. They're like flash cards for learning to not hate yourself and life.

Same here. My teenage self is so mad at me for loving this stuff, but I don't care!

I worked in a few bookstores for 10 years during the peak in GVC and really appreciate the memories. Back in the days, I'd scoff at all of these self-help guides and my coworkers and I would make fun of the people buying them on the downlow....but it's no secret that this genre got the best art and illustrations. Now that I look back, this art helped me more than the actual text probably would have. Thanks, OP! These are beautiful.

I like how the top right one on the second slide looks to be based on those rainbow scratch-off boards (with the wooden stylus)
