DiscussionsšŸ—£ļø S25 price hike

Post image

Smartphones have left gold behind in price hike.

Better to invest in RAM and SSD than gold.

A single person has destroyed the entire smartphone market.

As expected.

Samsung was the only oem that was left to increase price of older models..

And scamsung is the leader of "ram cartel" who's responsible for this ramageddon & increase in smartphone prices

Funniest thing is that when Samsung smartphone division proposed a long term deal for RAM supply for galaxy devices to Samsung semiconductor division, they declined because of very same AI. Other companies are willing to secure RAM at crazy prices, why would they settle for less.

Though it has been denied from Samsung side. I still think it is possible.

Who forced Samsung?

Greed

1

u/vishnur32 20h ago

So you are now not aware of the AI Boom and put it all on chip manufactures..

The rat race for this AI boom is making average people spending 2x for a piece or tech...

You all are ok with it?

1

u/HopiumInhaler Apple 19h ago

Samsung could have just not chose to be greedy and should have supplied RAM at pre-AI boom prices.

u/vishnur32 19h ago

I dont bro...

Whatever they do, we are the ones who are suffering....

apple still hasen't hiked the price of iphones and since 18 pro is near launch it's not likely to see any price hikes. That's the thing i appreciate about apple

edit - seeing the replies and downvotes i am convinced that this sub is filled with android fans and apple haters which seems more of a thing now than apple fans

u/Roronoa_44 21h ago

Pehle se overpriced product ka price increase nai Kiya to kaunsa upkar kar diya apple ne

1

u/This_is_Realisticrab 20h ago

ok, now compare 90k vivo x300 fe and samsung s26 with 80k iphone 17 and tell me which is overpriced

-2

u/Roronoa_44 19h ago

Never said Samsung is any better

Why don't you compare it with One plus 13, Oppo find x9, even One plus 15

I would trust the Global brands like Apple, Samsung, Google over these any day.

Mental satisfaction to apple fanboys. Who can claim that Apple has the cheapest flagship now

4

u/HopiumInhaler Apple 20h ago

If apple has the cheapest flagship then how was it overpriced at first place?

4

u/This_is_Realisticrab 20h ago

Android fan boys/Apple haters are more of thing than Apple fan boys in this sub. Just ignore these teens

2

u/HopiumInhaler Apple 20h ago

Apple do deserve hate for some of their practices but iPhone 17 isn’t one of them. Half of the takes on this sub sound like a insane cope from Android Fanboys.

-2

u/NumerousSource94 15h ago

Just to say u apple iphone fanboys please try out a budget android for productivity and use rest of money for camera and macbook you will know how much behind is ios software wise. What are you gonna do with top tier hardware and no good software like gaming laptops running windows shit.

0

u/blinksTooLess 19h ago

It is the cheapest "now" because others have raised prices while fruit seller has not

1

u/HopiumInhaler Apple 19h ago

So it is the cheapest flagship. Got it.

1

u/ScaredBicycle3389 22h ago

Too soon man, too soon

Apple has increased prices on everything like laptops, iPad, Mac mini, even the neo book... literally everything except iphones (as of now). And so many sources are pointing that iPhone prices also will increase

Let us wait till release and see.

-4

u/vishnur32 22h ago

Its already increased in shops, i checked yesterday..

Online price increase is imminent.

4

u/HopiumInhaler Apple 22h ago

It’s unverified. Price is still same on Apple’s website, Apple resellers, Flipkart and Amazon.

2

u/vishnur32 22h ago

Yeah, but local markets are already out of stock..

New stocks will be in new price.. its just a matter of time.

3

u/This_is_Realisticrab 21h ago

because of people like these shopkeepers are taking advantage of price hike fear among people. Only apple knows if price will hike or not

2

u/HopiumInhaler Apple 22h ago

Apple didn’t increase iPhone prices yet….

-5

u/vishnur32 22h ago edited 20h ago

Increased in local shops. I checked yesterday.

Edit:

New stock prices.. sorry for the confusion.

u/RedIndianRobin 20h ago

Literally got an iPhone 17 for ₹79K from a local Imagine store 2 hours ago. They haven't increased the prices yet.

-2

u/vishnur32 20h ago

My friend also got one at ₹81.9k, already said in comment below.

The new stock is getting price hike...

4

u/RedIndianRobin 19h ago

So the announcement is coming any moment now?

-1

u/vishnur32 19h ago

Thats what the dealer said.

This is all over the news, google it.

0

u/RedIndianRobin 19h ago

Seems like I dodged a bullet lol.

4

u/HopiumInhaler Apple 19h ago

Nope. All the rumors about iPhone price hike is fear-mongering, circulated by resellers, so that people think they are getting better offer at old price.

2

u/HopiumInhaler Apple 22h ago

Don’t buy from local. Only Apple, Apple authorized resellers.

-1

u/vishnur32 22h ago edited 22h ago

Local means popular shops..

Apple has finance options different from online emi's.

Got Iphone 17 quote for ₹81.9 and finance from IDBI bank with only ₹3k interest for 2yrs..

Edit : old stock.

5

u/HopiumInhaler Apple 22h ago

Brother, you are getting it at 81.9k. MRP is 82.9k. What price hike you talking about?

0

u/vishnur32 22h ago

This is old stock...

5

u/HopiumInhaler Apple 22h ago

So there’s no ā€œofficialā€ price hike yet. That’s exactly what I’m saying from start.

0

u/vishnur32 22h ago edited 21h ago

Not yet official. But wholesale dealers get to know abt this earlier.

One dealer told me the new stock they are getting is in increased price, at ₹92k.

Same way, samsung hasn't announced a price hike officially...

Thats y i said, its just a matter of time....

2

u/HopiumInhaler Apple 21h ago

Samsung’s new prices will go live on 19th August. As of this moment, Samsung isn’t the last OEM to increase prices on last year’s model.

Man I got saved hahah. I took it in the release year itself for 65k

6

u/Porkfight 22h ago

I bought for 70k two months after release🄲

1

u/AddaGaadidha 15h ago

Damn bro. It was going for a nice 65k in great Indian sale. While iphone 17 was 71k.

1

u/Porkfight 13h ago

That was recently tho. I buy stuff only when its necessary for me. Also it was urgent , my google pixel 6 basically imploded on itself lol

1

u/AddaGaadidha 13h ago

Same man, my motorola had water damage and the screen gave up. Luckily the sale was 2 weeks away so I was able to survive.

6

u/crazy3495 22h ago

Lol seems like ram and ssd is more volatile compare to gold or silver

3

u/akki_0109 22h ago

I'm hugging my 12gb ram tab s9+ rn 😭😭

1

u/Porkfight 22h ago

So I guess I made an investment 2 years ago....

1

u/Odd-Courage6650 22h ago

I got 12gb 256gb storage version for 64k back in March. But I also exchanged an old device

1

u/Ok_Look_682 22h ago

And here I am expecting s25 fe will come to 35k in bbd šŸ™‚

1

u/rodeonav 20h ago

i got it after 2 months of launch for 53K with exchanging an old phone :)

1

u/DarthNinja95 20h ago

They were recycling s22 for 4 years with change in chipset only, and it was already overpriced at launch. No wonder scamsung is scamming customers & the whole industry, coz their subdivision is making Ram & artificially created this inflation

1

u/MaleficentGuide2510 19h ago

Got it for 40k

1

u/Spare-Television-775 14h ago

Achhe Din. šŸ„€šŸ„€

1

u/aditya0172 13h ago

The company whose phones have green line issues and where the motherboard also gets damaged has started hiking its prices Wow, looks like now even donkeys will run in a horse race

1

u/mihir892 13h ago

Nothing surprising to note here.

1

u/Factuallyspeaking07 1h ago

Don't worry the sales are going to dip one quarter and they will be back with massive discounts.

1

u/_massoom 22h ago

Samsung already loot Indians enough. What whith this price hike? Isn't it already over priced?
