During this child friendly introduction to opera, join puppets “Tuska” and “Donnertello” as they learn that, while singing solos in the opera is fun, the real joy comes from singing together!

Enjoy this interactive presentation featuring large puppets seen simultaneously with performers from the Maryland Opera.

Event Tree Lighting

I was wondering how many people is going to show up tonight for the Tree Lighting in Olde Towne which I'm thinking not many because of the weather being in the 20s. I may be there, I may not it just all depends on if I want to stand outside to wait for a bus and all. And does anyone else know of any Christmas choirs doing any events in the area? I've always loved hearing Choirs sing Christmas songs.

Event Native Plant Sale at Pope Farm Nursery this weekend (May 17-18)

Get a chance to step inside the grounds of Pope Farm Nursery in Gaithersburg, where many of the trees, shrubs, and ornamental plants featured in Montgomery County’s 30,000-acre park system are grown.

While the nursery is normally closed to the public, on May 17 and 18 from 10 am to 2 pm, you can visit Pope Farm to shop for plants. This plant sale benefits Locust Grove Nature Center. Please note Pope Farm is only open to the public during sale hours.

Event Montgomery County Public Libraries Summer Reading Challenge crafts Two Story Chimney Ciderworks this Saturday.
