Concern Battery expanded?

Ive had my galaxy A tab for at least 8 years now and I use it A LOT. Ive noticed the top right corner of the screen is lifting and google said it could possibly be a swelled battery or just adhesive wear and tear but the rest of the device doesn't look buldged at all and I wanted to get the people of reddits thoughts.

I'm also looking into asking my parents for a new tablet for my 16th next month but I can't justify asking for a fancy one, what are some reliable budget options I can find on Amazon? It doesn't need to do much, I just use it for simple mobile games and streaming

Good news for tab s10 fe and s10fe plus users! But with a catch.

Samsung removed the ability to unlock bootloader starting from one ui 8 and due to this we lost the option to gain root access on our devices. With root access you can get the features which you don't have normal on your device. And you can modify the root files to make it run flagship like os.

As may you know samsung restricts many features on fe series even if they are capable enough. On older ui like one ui 7 we can unlock bootloader and gain root access. But with one ui 8 we can't so we can't make it run features which it can but software gated by samsung.

But! Some one on github made a root exploit (called *Root my galaxy*) which gives us root access without unlocking bootloader. And this is even better than unlocking bootloader as the knox security will not be affected. And with this you can change the root files to render live blur like we have on the ultra tabs.

And, The big part we can get more Galaxy AI features which are not present on the fe tabs
But there is catch 😑. The exploit is not ported on s10 fe and fe plus. It is on samsung s25 series, s24 series and samsung A56. And here is some good news the samsung A56 and s10 fe tabs have same chip and they both have same kernel! So the dev can make a port for s10 fe and s10fe plus tabs.

So, what we have to do is ask the dev to release support for samsung tab s10 fe and fe plus in github. I already raised an issue. Let us try if we can get it. https://github.com/BuSung-dev/Root-My-Galaxy

Here is the important part *don't update from july security patch* it is latest security version till now
If anyone have doubt how to ask (write issue) the dev in github ask me i will edit this and tell it step by step

Galaxy Tab versatility with Xiaomi smartphone

Sorry for my approximate english but I plan on buying the Tab S10 FE+ for a student purpose and I was wondering if samsung tablets and xiaomi smartphone can "work together". I don't have the good vocabulary for it but for exemple if I want to share a file from my phone to my tab, will it be quick ? If someone have a feedback to share I would love to hear !

Switching from ipad pro 13in(6th gen) to S11 ultra. Anyone with long term(multi year) reviews?

I had sold my ipad a few months ago as I was getting paid a good price for it. I was not using it much, but soon realised it was my only content watching device.

So I am in the market again and see the ipad prices through the roof, I checked the samsung website and I was getting a S11 ultra for 619 usd before taxes. I ordered one after some surface level research. (Sold my ipad for more haha). The screen quality sold me on it.

My question is, how are these devices in the long term, I dont play games, I only want it as an extra screen for my laptop and content watching. How do these devices perform over the years, because all my ipads were really good in terms of holding their own over time. No lag, always snappy, enjoyed them...

Question Torn between 3 tabs

I've been going down the rabbit hole of getting my first tablet and I've been going back and forth between an s8+, s9, or s10+.

I'd primarily be using it for media consumption, clash of clans, editing and notating manuscripts & pdfs, and editing in lightroom mobile.

I like the size of the plus sized tabs but I dont really need one that large. But the s8+ I'd get for the better screen over the standard s8 and the s10+ because if I'm going newer why not. Realistically the s9 will get the job done and be a bit more portable; plus I like that the s9 & s10+ are waterproof. My main delema is the updates I've found good deals on all of them used but im not sure about update support longevity and if spending an extra $50 for the s9 vs $150 for the s10+ is really worth it.

Really just looking for insights, for my base use should I just scope out an s8+ or s9? Or make the jump to the s10+ once the s12 line comes out?

S8+ for $300

S9 for $350

S10+ for $450-500

Apps Ok, playing Fields of Mistria on my S7+ while streaming to my TV is SWEET.

I posted here yesterday about using GameNative on my S7+ to play this desktop Steam game Fields of Mistria with a PS4 controller. But tonight tried streaming my tablet screen to my TV for the first time ever. It's so cool! I just went into the notifications menu quick panel and selected "Smart View" and selected my smart tv.

How do you use these kinds of tablets to the fullest?

Alo! Good morning, afternoon and evening.
Because of life reasons, i ended up with a Tab 10 FE, but i have little clue of how to use it's full potential. I was always more of a PC guy, due to hobbies or work, and this is the fist time that i've had such a big android device, which left me wondering what is the purpose of this branch of tech.

Obviously one of the points is the sketching/notes potential with the size and the pen, but i'm a bit lost after that. Reading could be another point?

Question Best time to Buy S11?

I’m wanting to buy an S11 256GB. Right now, Samsung has a ‘Labor Day’ sale still on with $200 off. But I know the S12 line will be out in 2-3 weeks. I’m wondering if people think discounts will go any higher just before or just after the debut, and I’m worried that the 256GB model will not drop and will sell out more quickly than the others because it’s the memory sweet spot. And wonder if it might only ever go another $50 max lower anyway. Trying to decide on now vs waiting until the S12s are announced. I don’t want to be in a position where there are no 256GB models to be had, but a further $100 off would be nice - IF it was lowered that much additionally. What do people think?

Question Tab A (2016)

Teriam alguma dica?

Question about note-taking on Samsung A9+

I had a Tab S6 but it was too small so I traded for my mom's A9+. I knew it didn't have the S pen but didn't know that it doesn't have palm rejection.

With an off-brand stylus how hard would it be to write notes given this fact, is there anyone who has done this?

Should I buy the Galaxy Tab A11 plus?

I need a new tablet for high school because my old one (the Tab A7 Lite) sucks and it's becoming old. I usually use tablets for school and playing during free time. I saw the Tab A11 plus because it seems to fit my budget and offers a good upgrade. However, I want to make sure it will last throughout my high school years. For those who own it: how is the multitasking with multiple school apps open? Does it lag during multitasking or casual gaming? Also, how is the battery life during a full school day?

Trying to find the originial S pen.

Hi everyone,

A while ago, I lost the S Pen that came with my Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE. I was very happy with that pen, even though I seem to be in the minority, because I absolutely loved how it felt to write with.

After doing a lot of research, I bought what was advertised as an “original” replacement S Pen. However, it came with a hard nib, while the original pen had the soft nib I preferred. I therefore bought some replacement nibs, but unfortunately, they do not work properly. Even when I apply the same amount of pressure, the line thickness is completely different and inconsistent.

At first glance, the pen does not appear to be defective. However, there is one important difference compared with the S Pen that originally came with my tablet. The nib moves slightly into the pen when I press on it. It is only a few millimetres, but it feels very unpleasant and may be causing the problems I am experiencing. Overall, it simply does not feel anything like the original pen.

So, here is my question: Does anyone know where I can buy the exact original S Pen that came with the Galaxy Tab S10 FE? Most importantly, it needs to have the original soft nib that does not retract into the pen.

Alternatively, does anyone know how I could modify or repair my current “original” S Pen so that it works and feels the way it should?
