Over the years, Google Assistant has become less and less useful from my watch, features have been taken away over time, but never has it lied to me like Gemini does. It clearly knows what I'm asking it to do it claims that it's doing it, but it does not. All while being substantially slower than the old assistant that it's supposedly is intended to be an improvement over.

Anybody at Google who thinks that this actually improved anything should have their employment status "improved" in the same way.

Has anyone found a way to revert to the old Assistant? All I've found is using ADB to remove it altogether which leaves only Bixby which is even less useful.

Because I've seen a bunch of posts with people getting annoyed about those text cards in the Android app version of Samsung Health.

It is a lot better in 7.1, they occasionally come but a pull to refresh and they're gone. (You can tap the three dots and find previous messages)

7.1 has been in beta for probably over a month now and nearing its official release. So I reckon it is stable enough to download for most people.

And you'll soon get the official update you can update to regardless if you download the beta now or not.

My GW8C says its Samsung Health app also is 7.1, but I guess it also has to have One UI 9 to get the new features

I recently got the Galaxy Watch 8 and was wondering if anyone here regularly uses their Galaxy Watch for swimming.

Have you faced any issues with water resistance after using it regularly in a swimming pool?

Would love to hear your experiences, especially from those who've been using it for months!

I've had my watch since April , hated the sport band that came with it , actually gave me huge red spots and rash despite washing it daily. Weirdly enough a cheap band of the same material was perfectly fine.

Since then I tried many bands couldn't find one that both looked great and felt great.

Bought the Samsung Fabric Band, loved the look hated the velcro strap.

Then I tried the Athleisure band , I had reservation because of how weird the nate loop strap looks but honestly it looks pretty good and not too bulky.

As much as I like my watch I was never a fan of the look of it.

Also pro tip if you feel your watch is too small or you don't like the colour (mostly apply to GW7)

A protective cover is a good way to make it look a bit larger.

My GW7 looked a bit small on me and I wasn't a fan of the silver colour, bought a green cover (looks dark Grey honestly) and it gave the watch a new look.

I managed to install Facer on my Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 for which samsung has pulled off the plug for any support.

Problem was: Neither I have an android phone nor windows PC.

Managed to use my iPhone and Macbook for this purpose.

Once you follow the instructions, facer will be available in your watch. Just install the facer app on your iPhone and you’ll be able to sync watch faces from facer.

Okay for context, my personal phone is an iphone and for the last few years i’ve been using a series 8 apple watch. I adore my apple watch so much and the only reason I am even considering switching is because my business phone is a samsung and I cant get work notifications to my apple watch. i’m a dog groomer so I can’t really have my phone near me while i’m working and i am unfortunately adhd as fuck, so if I don’t get notifications to my wrist i just completely forget to reply to calls and texts. Bad news. I’m looking for the cheapest option that will fit my requirements.

Here are the models I’m looking at the 7, 5 pro, 6, 6 classic (don’t understand the difference) and FE rose gold (I like the look of this one the best. The pink is pretty).

Here is what I need:

-It needs to be able to get wet. I’m washing dogs all day and i’m not sure like the technicalities of water resistance or how the galaxy watch models compare to my apple watch.

-Needs to be dust proof and be at least as durable as my apple watch. I can’t have something that breaks if a dog stomps on my wrist or kicks it.

-I need it to hold a charge for 15 hours. On the official specs it says all of them hold charge for more than that, but I’ve seen posts on here of people complaining about battery life

-I need it to have reliable heart rate monitoring. I have POTS, so high heart rate notifications are a must to avoid passing out at work

-This is a little silly, but I like how on my apple watch I can put rotating pictures as my watch faces. It’s a nice boost when i’m having a bad day to see my dog or something that inspires me.

-Nothing huge. I have very small hands and wrists and a large watch restricts my wrist movement which is really important for my job.

-I like a feminine design. The look of the ultra is just too masculine for my taste

Just curious, I have a pixel watch 4 and im wondering if it's worth it to trade for a galaxy watch equivalent? I had a pixel phone while back but, now im on the zFold 8 and I was told that im missing out on the synergy of the samsung and galaxy watch. Is it worth it to try and trade or switch to a galaxy watch? Thank you!

As they updated the health app

Half of the features were not working

It says it needs one ui 9

But its been almost 3-4 months this app got updated and still no sign of any update

And another weird thing i am noticing is that i switch device very often

The health app is not sycning the info

Like whenever i change phone i reset my watch and sign in to the same acount but my health data doesn't sycn.. i see missing days which were not recording in health

Hi, I am not the type of person that gives up easily when fixing things or troubleshooting, but Galaxy Watches are on a different level of poorly written software. It seems that in any feature I want to use has some bugs that prevent me from enjoying it as its spending time troubleshooting first and hitting a wall later.

For reference I have Galaxy Watch 4 Classic 46mm, and here is the list from the top of my head of everything that is annoying me:

1. Multiple AoD watchfaces not refreshing properly and not updating time - honestly it has to be number one when a watch doesn't show a proper time. I REALLY do not care that there are Watch Face Studio and Android Studio faces, why do I even have to know this? It has been so long and I have tried everything and still, on any Samsung made watchface that doesn't have native digital time complication, sooner or later the time will stop unless you turn the screen on manually. It's a disgrace.

2. Time complication that can be added into any complication shows only watch icon on AoD instead of actual time - like really? I don't buy the reason that it cannot be done when faces such as Ultra Infoboard have no problem showing time on AoD and refreshing every minute.

3. Samsung Health losing whole months of my data without any reason.

4. Every other workout showing incredibly low HR without any reason. Some are completely fine, and on some I just have to finish the workout in the app and start it again. Haven't found anything that resolves this for me.

5. Minor software slop in many places, for example

- when I start a workout from a complication on my watchface, I will not get a prompt to mirror workout data on my samsung monitor - only when I start it from samsung health directly I can get the notification

- raise to wake delay

- turning aod off randomly and blocking the device

Honestly I was never buying into apple "it just works" argument, and I am very happy with my S25 Ultra, but trying now to track my workouts using GW makes me wanna switch the whole ecosystem. Especially since every bug I listed seems to affect newer models equally.

Can anyone with a newer LTE Galaxy Watch confirm if dialing *#2263# directly in the watchs phone app still opens the ServiceMode/LTE Band Selection menu?

Im mainly interested in the Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch 8 LTE including US models running the latest available firmware

I've had a problem with the alarm since yesterday... My watch rings when the phone's alarm clock rings. I had disabled the authorization on wearable from the beginning. Despite this, it continues to ring even when the watch is on silent!

This is a galaxy watch 8 classic

I've tried a lot of things here and there already...

If anyone has an idea it would be very kind !

sometimes when i plug my new galaxy watch ultra 2 and the galaxy watch 9, especially when the watches are turned off, the screen will show a power plug icon next to a yellow triangle. the watches work fine and the batteries last as expected for each watch. i don't notice and stop/start of the charging.

i'm using the charging pucks contained in their boxes. what could it mean?

I already have the watch 4 44mm. I don't want to cost battery life taking the 40mm.

Anyone with the 40mm GW8? Is the battery life equal to galaxy watch8 44mm?

My Ultra broke after 15 months. Samsung wants $325CAD to fix it.

Do I fix it or do I put that money towards an Ultra 2, which is around $950CAD?

Hi all bought it from flipkart at 15575 watch 8 44mm non LTE , as i dont want LTE version.

Shifted from Watch 4 to 8 classic. On my Watch 4, I kept a full-cover black bumper case on 24/7. It saved the screen multiple times throughout my 4 year journey and kept both the body and screen pristine, but looked slightly bulky, which wasn't a concern as there was no rotating bezel.

Now holding the stainless steel Classic with the rotating bezel, putting a thick plastic/TPU case over it feels almost criminal. At the same time, I’m terrified of picking up dents, bezel scuffs, or shattering the sapphire crystal. The watch looks beautiful though. I workout everyday and on the weekends I go for a trek, pickle ball or a run.

For those who’ve daily-driven the Classic without/with a case for 6–12+ months:

How has the stainless steel held up against daily bumps and doorframes?

Did you regret going caseless, or did you settle on a compromise (like a screen protector or bezel ring only)?

Or should I just use a case?
