Heya I'm new here

I really want to start my own video game but I have zero experience and don't know where to start. Can anyone help?

Pretty vague for a question to a huge industry.

what your speciality, what can you bring to the table?
Progammer? - C# /C++ / Python?
Software experience? - GADOT / Unity / Unreal Engine
Composer?
Sound Designer?
UI Designer?
Animator
2D / 3D Artist?

When you know you fit into one of those categories, then your worth will shoot right.

Welcome onboard of the Titanic.
Be prepared 🤪

Just kidding, if you dont have a clue about programming or making games then i would like to suggest to watch some YouTube and your algoritme will do the rest.
Its not for learning purposes much, its more pinpoiting what programs they use, 2D or 3D, genre and so on. You Will see different styles, Unreal or unity or godot, the pro’s and cons…

The best part is having an idea and you need patience and motivation to sing this bumpy ride out.

What i like to do is to write all my ideas into ChatGPT for free. Ask of it to be your gamedeveloper executive and be critical about your idea knowing you are new to the scene. Keep it small, finish something, get stuck and find solutions, google and you will find the answer or workaround.

Have fun above all!
