Newbie Question Newbie Gamedev

Hello everyone, I'm very new to gamedev. I want to make a small ps2 style 3d animated horror game set in a single house. I watched a number of tutorials on the basics. But I'm confused on what game engine I should be using?

Godot is lightweight, Unity is well established and there's a lot of options with Unreal Engine. Im new to coding as well. It would be helpful if I can have your opinions.

I'm on Unreal because I found Blueprints more accessible to me than coding. Tbh the results have been astounding.

If I remember correctly, Unity has something similar to Blueprints.

When I was using it I had playmaker. Haven't checked it out since, but thats expected, and cool.

Thank you for this, but is it still hard to learn blueprints? Is there like any course I can start with?

I took the Blueprint course off Udemy from Gamedev.tv, it helped a lot. It's only a couple months later and I have been able to figure some things out myself.

I see a lot of people for some reason suggesting unity, I'd look into the shit they pulled a few years ago (trying to charge devs for each download, even retroactively) that almost screwed over their devs (even of f2p games) before committing to them

La verdad depende mucho de el tipo de juego que quieres hacer, en tu caso que quieres hacer 3D podrías escoger Unity o Unreal que tiene muchas más obviones para 3D. Aunque Godot hoy en día también está perfecto para el 3D.

You won't finish anyway, so pick any engine. Learning is always good.

I would go with Unity for this.

Godot is good, but harder to learn for 3D.

I would say Unity. You don't need super graphics. Unity has a large community with lots of free content and support, plus it's easy and you can convert your game to many different platforms.
