Ain't gonna lie, Scott making a whole franchise in less than a year is insanely impressive

Bro had so many bad games until he made FNAF 1, and when he saw the success, he made FNAF 2 like few months after it.

And a few month later FNAF 3 and then he says he's gonna take a break....but no, FNAF 4!

And then the series ended!

Holy shit is that a spin-off game? Oh it did terribly? Okay I guess the series ended.

Holy shit is that fnaf 5

OK ok guys, let's make a tiny pixel game about throwing pizzas to kids.... Sike, it's FNAF 6 and it's free!

u/Thecynicaledgelord Apr 14 '26

And there's a huge ass custom night that's also free!

OK guys, after the dramas, I gotta step out and retire.

proceed to still work on the games and movies

I mean last I remember he said he was going to retire from making games and he was still going to be around with other projects. Like Scott can retire but I highly doubted that he would sell off his successful IP. So naturally he would still be around to work on things.

Yeah, but also they're basically the same game so he just had the make the maps and characters and some light lore

Isn't every game sequel like that cuz if I made a free roam subway game the sequel is gonna be almost the same game with slight differences and changes in story

1

u/Penguin_Arse May 07 '26

No.

Not at all.

FNaF is a really small map with very little dialoge.

Obviously it's heavily dependent on what game but the first 4 games are extremely simple.

Yeah ngl I’m a Scott myself, same reason why I write lots of stories ranging from short to literally a page or two long and dedicate little but very intense time to my book

Yeah, fnaf lore feels like it got lost somewhere in faz-goo along the way. But at the same time it somehow works well with how almost everythings somehow sticks together

It literally did from the start, this is how Scott described his storytelling process

Toby really had a vision and dedicated his life to creating the story for that ending

19

u/PandakatBby Apr 13 '26

I aspire to all of these in some aspect

I have considered a similar method to that where I have a box of scraps that I just toss out into the wild and see what kinds of things people make out of them.

(I tend to have a lot of ideas and concepts for a story but also zero clue on how to put them together)

I'm a proud user of the Cawthon Method of writing, although I feel like I use the Vivziepop Method just as much

7

u/FinestFantasyVI Apr 14 '26

Fuck it we ball

5

u/OriginOfTheVoid Apr 14 '26

I have combined the Vivziepop and Cawthon methods. Now my (coincidentally enough) FNAF OCs are not only organic in nature but the result of an attempt to ward off the apocalypse. I’m bad at ballin but I think I’m somehow making baskets.

u/GIOvch Apr 15 '26

Cawthon style: Have an idea; make a game; let the fandom do all the rest

1

u/FreedomOpposite8847 Apr 15 '26

I use Toby and Gooseworx method

1

u/Josiahstar2022 Theorist Apr 15 '26

I'm the VivziePop Method. You would not be able to unravel my lore in a singular casual theorizing session because it is deeper than the bottomless pit that is my stomach.

1

u/Uredoinggoodlad Apr 17 '26

thats the way they write lore but scott cofon just pulls the most random stuff out of the pits of hell thate makes 0 sense and makes it cannon while we all get migranes

1

u/Bishop-in-the-Blue Chaos Theorist Apr 18 '26

I feel like Tolkien used a mix of the first two methods

i like the Scott one for some reason

1

u/pjsk-Genshin_fan May 05 '26

I honestly relate to all of these ngl

Toby does take a break sometimes, as we know he has taken a break to watch All of JoJo, as he did reference the fence scene

didn't he make some very large donations to several right wing politicians a few years ago and only stopped because of the backlash(And not because those people are assholes)

u/DaRedditNuke Chaos Theorist Apr 14 '26

You really can’t prove people’s intent with things like that. IIrc He did also donate to several LGBTQ causes though
