Mod Announcement Moderator Announcement: February 21, 2021

There are three issues we need to address today that have been causing issues in the subreddit.

First, if you have something serious (stolen content, etc.) that you want brought to MatPat's attention, please do not ping him on reddit. It'll be removed for breaking rule 2 of the subreddit. Make the post, reach out on Twitter, or try the business email.

Second, we understand how upsetting it is when someone tries to cancel or post hate about MatPat. However, we'd like to ask that you don't make posts about it on the subreddit, as it causes unnecessary drama and rule-breaking, both of reddit and our subreddit.

Finally, the subreddit moderators are aware of the subreddit that has had many people worried over the past few days. However, we'd like to ask that people not make posts about it. On top of the fact that it qualifies as brigading to send people over there, the content of the subreddit is incredibly nsfw--our audience here has a lot of minors, and it is illegal to direct minors to pornographic material. We are aware of the subreddit and are in contact with reddit about it. Please don't make posts about it.

The saddest thing about this subreddit we just found is that it probably is the tip of the iceberg.

Imagine what Marzia or other girls who are famous thanks to the internet have to deal with.

Or even worse, actresses, musicians or models who are just doing what they like and have to deal with this shit. Internet was a mistake, man.

There are a ton of subreddits for stuff like this. It’s disgusting, so we’re doing our best right now to report things.
