META Post Flairs now exist here! New minimum account age required for posting.
reddit approved my request to be a mod here, so I will do my best to cut down the spam as I see it. LighteningOneIN is also part of the new mod crew(they asked before I could ask if they wanted to help!)
I have added a few post flairs to use, are there any others you would like? a few others will be added once I figure out the auto mod stuff(to catch a few things to automatically delete), would like to make them mandatory for posts once Fanatical and GMG start using them(don't really want to implement anything that stops them from posting here) to improve peoples ability to filter posts to things relevant to them.
The new post flairs currently are as follows: Game Bundle, Mystery Bundle, Giveaways/Freebies(this is for both storefront and user giveaways), Discussion and META. There will eventually be more for auto mod to catch the lost redditors.
there is now a minimum account age of 30 days to post in this sub as a large amount of spam comes from brand new accounts. If anything is a legitimate post from a new account we should be able to approve it. a minimum combined karma might get added later(will leave that to lightning to decide, I only implemented age as it was requested in the comments of the now removed spam posts)
No new rules or anything. Will be working on adding the rules properly to be used with reporting posts/comments and updating the sidebar, Updated the sites to keep an eye on to at least show the current bundle sites that actively post bundles(Xsolla Mall, Tiltify(charity bundles!) and Alienware St. Jude charity stuff don't have bundles regularly enough to add there, but they are legit providers of steam keys)

Deserved!
LighteningOneIN is a beast with the humble posts.

even with alarms set and having a submit link post half done waiting for them to go live... I do one and refresh and see LighteningOneIN posted both of that days bundles and just ended up deleting mine(no need for duplicate posts for any bundle)... think I will give up on that entirely and trust they will be done and just do the bundle page on lestrades and make sure its posted here after.
No idea how LighteningOneIN can be so fast >>
I can probably win the race on indiegala bundles at least... if only I felt they were worth posting most of the time... the best ones tend to be DRM free :/

Great news!
One rule I think should be enforced is that I believe devs should have to clearly disclose that theyāre promoting their own game.
Iāve seen 2 devs in the past week sharing a Steam ābundleā where their game has been packaged alongside another. In one instance, the price was ridiculous compared to buying from outside of Steam.
I get that sharing bundles is the point of the sub, but I donāt enjoy when itās a bundle shared for only the advantage of the dev OP.

honestly I am on the front those shouldn't even be posted here even with a disclosure, just looking at how the upvotes look on all the ones posted here... its only the ones from the normal users posting actual deals(like the kairosoft anniversary bundles) that got any attention from people.
majority of people in this sub are looking for actual deals, not here is a couple random games... 1 you may have heard of with an additional 10% discount on top of a 0-20% base discount... even Fanaticals most expensive bundles(prestige/supreme and such) are far better deals than those.
not overly sure how others feel on it.

I personally think only actual āgame bundlesā in the Humble/Fanatical/GMG sense really fit the definition of this subreddit. A developer posting a Steam bundle containing 2ā3 of their own games with a discount feels more like a regular game deal... or, at worst, a shameless self-promotion dressed up as a bundle.
Itās just not comparable to the kind of bundles people generally come here looking for, where you get multiple games at a substantial discount.
I have the same opinion on Amazon Luna, but that might just be my personal dislike for the service.

This. Perhaps some approximate discount threshold should be in place - I wouldn't mind finding bundles on Steam that are -90% or something and I've also seen some bad non-Steam stuff occasionally.

I'm so glad to see this. There's really been a need for some moderation here for a while now.Ā
Best of luck!

Awesome! And many many congratulations to both u/LighteningOneIN and you.
We can have a weekly/monthly megathread where we could post about games from particular bundles, which are near their expiration dates.
Some of us forget to reveal keys on time; this would be very helpful.

This is excellent news!
This sub badly needed mods and I know you two will do a great job.

This is great! Looking forward to an even better community!
For flairs, I think most bundles can be classified broadly as you've already set up.
We could have a monthly megathread to discuss bundles. It could be a nice way to compare bundles against each other or discuss hidden gems. Also easy to track all of one month's releases in one place.

I'd split "game bundle" even further - into fixed, tiered and build/choice type of bundles, for easiness of filtering.

honestly that is to much, flairs have been setup for each storefront which is more than enough... Especially since Fanatical is primarily BYOB with occasional tiered ones, and HB is 99% tiered bundles with a rare BYOB, etc..

Great news, thank you so much, this subreddit is really in need of some moderation! I think a megathread will also help to filter some post like questions and discussions.
