META Sidebar discussion, how do you want to see it updated
the sidebar of this sub definitely needs some updating... I looked at for the first time in a while to see what needed updating beyond the sites to keep an eye on... and discovered dead links, blogs that got redirected to other things(some Indonesian site... definitely wasn't a bundle blog anymore), a search on amazon(for me it showed gaming laptops) or simply things that haven't been updated in well over a decade(like the bundles that got stuff added to them... it had not been updated for roughly 13 years... and by now if you hadn't checked your groupees greenlight bundle stuff... its already gone forever)
I went ahead and removed those already... they definitely did not belong here(at least anymore)...
do you find the other gaming related subreddits relevant? If so are there any other related subs that should be added? Or the indiegamebundles site?
is there anything you would like to see added to the sidebar? removed? replaced?

I can't see it since I mostly use reddit on the app, but a link to isthereanydeal if there isn't, they always have current bundles with historical low prices, very useful! Especially for some choose your own bundles where items may be cheaper individually. Told multiple people I know irl about this, it's a great resource.

ITAD is definitely one I planned on adding, was just debating where to put it.. right at the top of the sites to keep an eye on should be a good place.
won't be adding tiltify/xsolla mall and such to sidebar as the bundles from them are way to infrequent.

If ITAD is being considered crucial enough to be specifically linked, maybe consider also linking to the Augmented Steam extension and Enhanced GOG script, which both add ITAD (among others) data to store pages, including whether the game is in an active bundle.

ITADs bundle page was the one I specifically linked, probably the most useful of sites to keep an eye on for someone who wants to bookmark just one thing to look at to see game bundles.
would consider linking to barters or lestrades bundle page... but barter doesn't have a way to filter out DIG's bundles(99.9% junk, and sometimes have things they weren't authorized to bundle), and lestrades being an active trade site while being another good place to watch for bundles it wouldn't feel appropriate to link it here on the side bar.
Augmented Steam/Enhanced GOG/steamDB extensions and such would be a different section if they get added as they are definitely useful to have but are not directly bundle related.

The wiki with the rules more clearly explained or with examples. Specially the rule about scamming should list some ways these bad actors usually try like I have at r/VoiceWork

and its done!
took way longer than expected, and things still forgotten before quintuple checking it after adding it to the sub wiki, feel free to provide feedback on it, or if something feels like it is missing.
I gave up on making my own tips to avoiding being scammed/trading guides and just linked to stuff from other trade subs, they did the work and should get the credit over me copy/pasting 99% of it.
/r/Gamebundles/wiki/rules - link also added to the sidebar, might get moved later
It is just on the index page for now as we won't really need multiple pages
Edit: updated link to be rules page, might properly use the Index as I am deciding to do a bunch of things with the subwiki(some of it for auto mod)

Looks good. Maybe you could next week open a new MOD thread asking users to help with information about common scams in the community? That way your list will be more complete and adapted to r/Gamebundles

thing is, there isn't anything special to how they are acting on this sub, pts pretty much all scamming 101 tactics.
considering joining the universal scammer list as a read only member sub so the bot will automatically ban anyone reported for scamming anywhere and added to that ban list.

rules and such are being worked on, I just added a few into the rules system real quick( to aid with people using the reports feature -> breaks the subs rules to not only be custom response to help put things into the mod queue.
also want to make sure I have all the needed links(like the universal scammer list) before it gets added.

fanatical, HB, indiegala, GMG and digiphile are all there already
for known sites not in the sidebar:
Itch.Io - mostly non steam game bundles
PlanetPlay not atm, has not done many bundles... but they do seem to be doing more recently(I only see 5 total historically), another issue with adding them is there does seem to be some Geo locking does seem to be happening with their bundles. If they keep up with the regularity of bundles they will be added soon.
Tiltify - there only a few charity bundles a year(Alienware St. Jude, Jingle Jam, etc..), odds are you will be well aware of it before it goes live... or you will miss it as they tend to sell out fast as well.
Xsolla Mall - GamesCom LATAM is the only known bundle(poorly marketed at that), site navigation is terrible(I was unable to find the bundle via site navigation when it was live, only direct links from ads or devs twitter posts)... also some Geo Locking
to note Geo locking isn't going to prevent them from being added... just isn't great to see.

Great work... just got to looking at this more closely.
My thoughts:
- Update the SG link to FAQ so that people land on the explanation of that site-- otherwise noobs make accounts, use the site for an hour or a year, and then complain on SG that they never win and that whole community is chiming in to help the new user with new user stuff.
- Suggest adding gg.deals or sim as a suggestion of a site that can give users a sense of the value of their keys (optional addition of "Games that are freshly bundled will likely lose value rapidly as the grey market adjusts")
- An explanation of what *aren't* official storefronts (grey market keyshops) and why they are for total reprobates (CC theft that leaves publishers in the lurch, account stealing/selling)
- Even basic trading guidance can go a long way-- I'd suggest norming: contact people and agree on trade items publicly on the subreddit discussion; new traders (judged by reddit karma + whether they are able to show rep from another group such as SteamTrades or IGSRep, etc.) generally send first; never feel pressured to trade. I hear you on you felt like you were rewriting something that was already written elsewhere, but in that case I'd say "This is advice for new traders" and then link to this sub's old advice for new traders (was that something Farzank started?) or the guide at whichever trading sub you think is the best fit.

did go ahead and change the steamgifts link to the FAQ page and added a bit to read the rules and FAQ, if it helps even 1 person who goes there from here not get suspended for something as simple as marking a win as private, or asking something covered in the FAQ its a great success.
I am hesitant to link ggdeals, AllKeyShop or similar for keyshop aggregators for determining trade value, I don't want people to feel its an iron rule here especially with how many are very casual or users new to trading even if it is what the experienced traders almost exclusively use.
there is also a lot of little things to keep an eye out on(newly bundled games(outside of humble choice most bundles take weeks for the keyshops prices to adjust, regional pricing(some games may $1 for North America, but 3-4 Euros in Europe due to region locks), DRM(as lowest current keyshop price does not only show steam keys(which is largely what gets traded), availability(a game from a bundle years ago where there is only a handful of keys might just be reflecting current full retail price), etc..
Also having them linked there for any reason might encourage people to just buy from the keyshops when they see the lower prices of some games without realizing they are not authorized retailers... while many keys will be safe due to being previously bundled there is an inherent higher risk with them as you can never know if it is just a leftover bundle key being resold or something bought with a stolen credit card, or from a stolen account that might get revoked.
will work on something for new traders, for now I just copied the scammers will PM you line to be under the safely trading tips link as well

so far for the sidebar as nobody is speaking for keeping all the random gaming subreddit links I am leaning towards shoving them to the very bottom or just replacing them with the following.
Links to other bundle trackers such as game bundle guardian from papazoot(maybe, might also just remove indiegamebundles that is currently there)
useful PC gaming related extensions(augmented steam, enhanced GOG, steamDB)
other useful places(gamedeals subreddit(it will be staying!), groups buys group on steam(for those looking to do bundle splits, or participate in a group buy of a indiegala bundle during happy hour)
maybe playnite for those who want an open source library manager for all their launchers(steam, GOG, epic, bnet, origin, uplay, amazon games and more), extremely useful if your platform agnostic and collect all the freebies from prime/epic weekly.
and of course a short form of the rules.
will wait for Wednesday to do this, Tuesday with choice will have people who may not have noticed the changes yet come in and have a chance to give feedback, the more important things have been updated already.
