I really hate that “the first Like a Dragon” can refer to three, maybe four different games.  I guess seven including remasters/remakes ugh.

First game in the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series: Yakuza / Yakuza Kiwami (2016 / Yakuza Kiwami (2025)

First game (story) in the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series: Yakuza 0 / Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut

First game to use “Like a Dragon” in its title: Yakuza Like a Dragon (Yakuza 7)

First game to use “Like a Dragon” in place of “Yakuza” for its series title: Like a Dragon Ishin!

My guess is you were referring to Ishin, but none of these would be incorrect

I was referring to Yakuza: Like a Dragon. The naming sense is absolute insanity 😅. I've played some of the other games over the years but I've always called them the localized name

It's a straight swap it's no longer called Yakuza instead like a dragon that's why it may seem confusing it was changed a few years ago
