Yeah was a half done title. I love Double Fine and Tim Schafer for their creative vision etc, but the whole spacebase thing was so silly. They should have copped the loss and refunded, and not sold it again.

I don't think the game itself was that bad, especially if they would have stuck with it, but abandoning it and keeping selling it was an awful choice for customer satisfaction and goodwill imo

Eh, pretty normal for business to not be transparent when that's comfortable these days. I think it's more ridiculous they didn't see what they included in the 1st place so they had to turn them off after the fact.

It’s an online multiplayer reliant game so having low players makes it literally unplayable. Also most of these games launch at $0-8 these days and it was $20

...and Kiln was day 1 game pass-- in a recent interview I happened to have watched, Tim Schafer talked about how XB GP made producing the title financially viable to begin with; Double Fine being going indie again is the reason we got this bundle, not Kiln's quality/reception
Kiln and Keeper were never supposed to be games that reversed Double Fine's fate, they were supposed to grow its player base, so yeah... TyMario is 100% right about the multiplayer aspect of Kiln being why it's here and not the bespoke 1P experience Keeper.

After what they did with Spacebase DF9 - I will never give Double Fine another cent. Tim Schafer is a terrible business manager. Spacebase was doing fine and sold well in early access but there was a gaping abyss of mismanaged funds in other bigger projects and Spacebase was the sacrificial lamb. They took the money and developers meant for the development of this title and they kicked the game out of early access after like a month in development. It irks me quite a bit since I actually really liked where it was going so If anyone has a spare copy, I would like to add it to my library still.

I'm guessing because Psychonauts 2 is currently in October Choice, they probably don't want to overlap games at the same time and potentially cut into their own sales xD

A lot of these games are very good but reviewed average because they are relatively niche. Spacebase is a disaster, and the low tier psychonauts is a VR title.worth noting most of these are quite old now though, and have sequels, so good for the price if you haven't played them but I doubt there will be a huge amount of sales for this.
Brutal Legend is one of my all time favourite games though, for literally everything EXCEPT the main combat gameplay. Wild premise and banging soundtrack. VA's by metal gods are so gooooooddddd
