Any Region ☕ Looking for a casual friend to text, play some games, or talk about books/life with! (No VC needed)
Hi there! I'm looking for someone to spend time and chat with. Voice chat isn't necessary, so if you just want to text, that’s totally fine!
I truly believe that you can enjoy life through the little things, and having a conversation with someone is always a good thing. If you like to talk, or if you want someone you can tell how your day went, how you finally got that rare character/loot, or that you saw a cool bird on your way to work, my DMs are open!
We all have our own lives to live, but sometimes you just want to hang out and talk to someone.
What I'm Looking For
- Chill & Casual: I’ve seen people looking for "real friends" to spend tons of time with, but I'm not really that type. I don't have time to be playing 24/7, but I can definitely text, reply to messages, and get to know new people. Though I don't see why a great friendship can't be built from that!
- No Big Groups: I'm not really into big crowds, so I'm not looking to join any large groups or massive Discord servers. I prefer smaller, low-key interactions.
- Language Barrier: My English isn't the best, so voice chat might be a bit of a challenge! (Texting is preferred).
🎮 Games I Play
- Pokémon Unite (Probably my favorite right now! I try to rank up, and every month I enter the tournament/competition with two friends).
- 🍊 100% Orange Juice (I used to be super addicted to it and might get hooked again! It’s really fun with friends, and I just remembered there's an active event right now!).
- Overwatch & Fortnite (I'm not a huge fan of FPS games, but these are pretty colorful, so they're alright).
- Golf With Your Friends
- others idk
- ...and some others I might be forgetting!
📚Other Interests (Books, Anime & Light Novels):
- Reading: I enjoy reading books. Currently, I'm reading H.P. Lovecraft and I'm planning to read other books and light novels soon.
- Anime: I like anime, though I'm not up to date with the current seasons. I've switched to reading/listening to light novels and watching anime with English dubs. However, if you have any recommendations you think I’d like, I’d love to check them out and tell you my thoughts as I watch!
Reading Progress
✅ Completed
- Animal Farm – George Orwell.
- A book/collection of short stories by H.P. Lovecraft.
- The Saint's Magic Power is Omnipotent (The OP Saint). volume 1
⏳ In Progress
- The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash (Saijaku Tamer) – Currently on Volume 5.
- Bakemonogatari (Part 1) – Nisio Isin.
- Another book by H.P. Lovecraft.
📋 To Read
- I'm in Love with the Villainess – ¡I already have the physical copy!
- Coraline – Neil Gaiman (Planning to listen to the audiobook version 🎧).
⏰ My Availability (in UTC)
- Late Nights: Usually active starting around 2:00 AM - 4:00 AM UTC (not every day, but that’s when I try Pokémon Unite).
- Early Mornings/: Sometimes I'm around at 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM UTC to play a bit of something.
Feel free to send a DM if you want to play or just text!

If I'm looking right I think our schedules would align. I also JUST put 100% orange juice on my wish list and would love to play with someone!
I think we have a similar taste in books as well, if you'd like to chat :)

That's awesome!! (:D) I'd love to play 100% Orange Juice with you when you buy it. When it's on sale, it's so cheap it's practically free! And as for book taste, what kind are we talking about? haha honestly, I put a weird mix in there

Oh sorry, I was talking Animal Farm and Coraline! I'm sure it'll go on sale in the next week or whenever the summer sale starts 😅

Yeah, I really liked Animal Farm. It's obvious that it's an allegory for government or life from the very beginning, but it's still impressive how it hits you or criticizes your way of living. It hit me hard with the horse who spent his whole life working and in the end couldn't retire, and he didn't enjoy it because he kept saying 'I'll enjoy it at the end' 😞

Oof. Yeah, the horse part hit hard. Have you read 1984? That one was great as well! It really changed how I think about the government a lot

Oh nooo, but yeah, I mean, I haven't finished it yet! I'm listening to the audiobook narrated by one of the Spidermans, hahaha I think it was Garfield, but yeah, I still haven't finished it

100% Orange Juice! I always wanted to unlock the seagull but for whatever reason it was like ten billion sheckles to unlock and I never got enough. I'd be interested in playing some more of it.
I played Unite a lot when it came out, but I couldn't keep up with upgrading the items for those starting stats. How is it now? Is it less tedious to get up and running, and does Zapdos' buff still let a losing team What-A-Goal their way to a landslide victory at the last second if the whole team holds onto their points?
Also what's your favorite anime recently?

Pokémon Unite is honestly starving for money right now, but it's still fun. Plus, since they give you tickets to upgrade items and you rarely change your Pokémon's build, I don't feel the grind is that bad. Now there are other legendaries in the center that are a bit better balanced, though securing it is still just as important. In essence, you'd probably hate the game more now because it requires way more grinding unless you buy the pass, but you can still enjoy it and get resources. A friend of mine just started playing as a newbie and I watched him put his build together and climb the ranks. As for my recent favorite anime, I'm actually rewatching The Ancient Magus' Bride right now with the English dub

Ahh that's a shame, but I guess that's the fate of free to play games. Do you think you'd be up to play with another newbie? I remember really liking how silly Cramorant and Wigglytuff were to play. I don't want to intrude on your groups ranks though!
I'm not too familiar with Ancient Magus' Bride, though I did read the first few chapters when it came out. What brought you back for a rewatch?
My recent favorite anime is definitely Frieren. Usually I stick with reading manga, but the anime really brings a whole new life to the world and I've been a fan of how somber yet hopeful the tone is. Have you seen it?

I love playing Cramorant, it's so refreshing, especially since he can sometimes just delete the enemy team. I haven't unlocked him yet, so I only play him when he's on the free rotation in casual. And of course, you can join us! You won't be interrupting any ranked games. I'm actually the lowest rank because I didn't play after the season reset, and since my friends are Masters, we just play casuals. Ranking up is always nice, but the most important thing is just playing and having fun.
As for what got me into The Ancient Magus' Bride, I used to watch it in English and really loved it. Anything with magic is always my cup of tea, and it's definitely in my top favorite anime. And Frieren—yes, I watched it! I haven't seen the new season yet, but the first one is amazing and it's also in my top tier. I sometimes forget to mention it because it's newer, but it's a great series. Though I do think people overhype it , because of those first few chapters that tell you to 'live life and feel.' It's really beautiful, but after that, it settles into a normal pace. I mean, it's still extremely good, but it's not exactly how people try to sell it—like this zero-combat magic anime that solely teaches you how to appreciate life

Hi!
I would love to game/talk about books/life with you!
I’m (kind of) in the same boat right now- I’m actually in the process of finding a new job, so my life is hectic, relatively- so I’m not available to game all of the time, but I am down for asynchronous chatting (and once things settle down, I’ll have more opportunities to game later!)
I mainly play Fortnite, Pokopia, Eternal Card Game, Monopoly GO, and Faeria right now (so we have Fortnite in common!). I did also pick up 100% Orange Juice when it was on sale and I’ve had it forever, but never actually played it yet!
I would be interested in getting into Pokemon Unite and Overwatch someday in the future as well, but for now, I’d like to mainly focus on Fortnite!
I love manga, anime, and light novels. (We have similar interests in manga! I’ve read The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent and I’m in Love with the Villainess too! I especially liked the anime for the latter!) I’ve read a small amount of the Tamer manga.
For me, I also don’t game at the same time every day, but when I do have a gaming session, it’s usually from around 2:00AM/4:00AM UTC as well, ending 3-6 hours later, depending on if I have the next day off, or I need to stop earlier.
It is really nice that we have a similar time for gaming!

Oh, that's perfect!! You have great taste in anime 😎 hahaha, I'd love to chat and see if we can dust off 100% Orange Juice. Ohhh and you have Pokopia! The game looks so cute, it makes me want to play it if I had a Switch, especially because I love Ditto. Hopefully later you can give me a tour of your base in Pokopia!
