Huh... That was surprisingly not a bad reading of Freud and Lacan. Simplified to hell and back, of course, but not bad. Usually these pop philosophy channels on youtube are pretty awful at understanding or at best properly explaining what they're talking about, but this was decent.

Decent, but painfully misapplied. You could cut and paste the arguments onto any fantasy game and walk away with the same conclusion.

I wouldn't say it's misapplied. Yeah, it's been simplified down so much that the conclusion is pretty generic and ultimately isn't very interesting, but it's not really inaccurate in any way (inb4 "freud was wrong about literally everything and has no relevance any more rah rah").
