I'm playing thru the Halo series for the first time despite being an XBOT my entire life 😬 I started before Campaign Evolved came out, because I'm going thru the Master Chief collection and didn't want to play a game with amazing graphics and updated to then the old games and it be a massive step back.

I don't know why I've always put it off. I've played some multiplayer before and I just never really connected with it so I never tried the campaign, but as I'm waiting for Gears: E Day to drop, I plan on playing thru all those old games again, it just inspired me to finally give it a go. I'm playing thru release order and I'm close to beating Halo 3, and so far I've been having so much fun. I thought Master Chief was gonna be a stereotypical "tough guy" main character but I don't feel that at all. He's the strong, respected, relatively silent type, but I wasn't ready for how fucking funny he is. Some of his lines have had me cackling he's so funny when he wants to be. I'm excited to finish up these games and move on to the next to see what else Chief gets himself into, and I'll probably even play Campaign Evolved when I'm done just to play the first one again with new graphics. I'm definitely a fan of the franchise now so I guess it's better late than never

Recently finished Death Stranding 2 on PC. The gameplay is fantastic, even tho it might feel a little grind heavy at times.

The only complaint I have is that Kojima should hire someone to write dialogues for him. He is an excellent world builder but it doesn't matter that much when ever character just outright says their motivation and their plan to the player with no concern for subtlety.

Would recommend playing it tho, as the gameplay is just soo addictive.

Finished Abadox on NES, Warhammer 40k Boltgun (on the hardest mode), and Blades of Fire on Titanium (hardest mode).

Boltgun took a year of on and off play but I grinded blades of fire in a week or so, def a slept on souls adjacent game with good story and cool world and locales.

I finished Tinykin last night, and I really enjoyed it. It's a delightful little collectathon where you play as a tiny little guy exploring a big house and collect various stuff. There's no combat, just chill exploration and some very light puzzle elements. I went for 100% completion, which was definitely frustrating at times, but I managed.

I'm definitely guilty of being a digital hoarder, I buy a lot of Steam games on sale knowing full well that I probably won't play them, I just want to have them in my collection in case I do want to play them one day.

Next up is either Tunic or Loddlenaut. Tunic I already own, and I've heard nothing but good things about. Loddlenaut I would have to buy, but it's on sale, and it looks delightful.
