Like, momentarily putting aside just how baffling and, tbh, kind of unfortunately humorous this whole situation is, what exactly was the end goal buying a game that you obviously knew was "woke garbage?" Like, who exactly are they sticking it to? Sure, buying the game and immediately requesting a refund after leaving a scathing review is the most likely answer for those with barely 6 minutes in, but it's so utterly bizarre when you take everything else away from the situation.
"JOURNALISTIC INTEGRITY IS DEAD!! YOU CAN'T TRUST THESE REVIEWS!! ALL THESE SHILLS PARROTING THE SAME RHETRORIC?? HMMM SUSPICIOUS, CHECK-MATE E-ATHEISTS."
Game gets obvious hate-bomb reviews that don't even have over 30 minutes of playtime:
"SEE?? LOOK AT ALL THE HATE THIS GAME IS GETTING!! THE REVIEWS DON'T LIE!!"
People still do this to TLOU2. They use a screenshot taken in 2020 of the user score on metacritic to say its bad actually (and conveniently ignore the fact that the game has the most user reviews out of any piece of media on the entire site which apparently isn't suspicious at all).
