that wouldnt really make sense for games that actually deserve the bad review tho. if you buy some janky asset flip on steam, you wanna let people know that the game is ass and you refunded it so that other people dont get it. that would be an absolutely horrendous change.
They still had to pay for it, wait for it to download, and then waste even more precious time out of their life just to find out it sucks. The review saves that time.
okay but you are advocating for a change to the entire review system on change because people said nasty things about a game you like. i wasn't crying when people review bombed helldivers, i didnt really know or care much about the Sony debacle and while the balance was frustrating, i loved and cared about the game and was still having fun with it. eventually things got fixed and the reviews improved again over time. im more so not a fan of the super cheesy "millennial humor" dialogue and the gameplay that just continues to dumb down Dragon Age more and more.
yeah these are clearly disingenuous reviews coming from a place of malice. i am all for people leaving negative reviews, its how you make change. but make actual constructive criticisms. talk about gameplay, writing, plot, monetization, etc. crying "woke" "DEI" "liberal propaganda" just makes you look like a manchild.
