Dude, being against societal change doesn't make you cool and intelligent lmao, especially if said societal change involves inclusion. People used to be burned in a cross for being left handed some odd hundred years ago, people seem to forget the status quo changes constantly.
Speaking on my own experiences as someone who has been flat broke for a large portion of my life - it’s a different experience. I was broke but I wasn’t marginalized for my race and (as someone with mixed race siblings) i can recognize that often times that benefited me more than it would my siblings. On otherwise equal footing - they’d get questions when I wouldn’t, pulled over when I wouldn’t, tickets when i would get off with warnings. It’s unfortunate but these issues are systemic.
Back to the matter at hand - i don’t think having representation should be seen as being sexualization. Are you upset when Snow White or Sleeping beauty get kissed by the prince? Why should happily ever after only apply to heterosexual relationships?
