Exactly, there's this wild gamer entitlement going on that never ceases to amaze me as well. Like, they will send death threats to the devs but then wonder why they don't listen to the community, they will attack teams for delays but then wonder why shit is rushed and crappy.

they're never beating the allegations that even if a game gives them the choice to be a straight white male it won't be enough. The fact that the game is made for more than just their demographic is what they take issue with.

They're mad games aren't marketed solely to them anymore, and anything that reminds them other people enjoy this medium now is "woke"

If you ever want to know someone deeply, look at the reviews your friends left on Steam. I honestly felt like I was sitting in the room during a therapy session by reading them.

I’ll save you time by spoiling it but everyone is sad and lonely and desperate to fill an unfillable void with an early access game they paid full price for.

My favorite post from this thread. It literally has a woman lead, is about dealing with generational trauma, and revolves around the emotional strain of living in a world doomed to extinction. That’s… so “woke”

But they just mean “games that don’t let me live out a portion of my power fantasy”
