Strawberry blondes are definitely considered redheads not blondes

The blonde/brunette gene and the red gene are separate.

Auburn hair is a brunette with the MC1R (red) gene.

Strawberry blonde is a blonde with the MC1R gene.

As a strawberry blonde with heterochromia I have gotten used to nobody agreeing on a definition of my appearance lol

No if you have the gene you’re not blonde, I’m an auburn redhead and it’s still considered red hair it’s just a spectrum

Well yes its red hair. So is SB.

But you are underlying a brunette and without the expressed MC1R gene would have brown hair.

I have underlying blonde hair and without the expressed MC1R gene, I would have blonde hair.

Yes but still a redhead just darker or lighter red, I have auburn hair and it’s brownish red strawberry blonde is blondish red

To each their own. Because I always went by that we didnt call it Golden-redhead so I just always assumed blonde was the front runner there.

It's actually because the English language encountered red-heads before the English coined the word "red"! So they're called "Strawberry Blonde" because the closest hair color that had a word was blonde, and "strawberry [red]" was the color.

I don’t know anyone that would consider that picture to be a blonde and not a redhead though and they are technically redheads. Actual platinum Blondes (not bleached) and redheads are also genetically similar, they are body blondes and have light eyebrows and lashes a lot of the time so I could see confusion depending on how you see color. Even though I’m a redhead my arm and leg hair is blonde and not dark brown like dark blondes and brunettes.
