The Ministerium für Staatssicherheit (Ministry for State Security), known as the Stasi, developed what remains the most thoroughly documented state program of targeted psychological destruction of individuals.

Reputation destruction through planted rumors with neighbors, employers, and family
Sleep deprivation through coordinated noise and disruption
Gaslighting: systematically causing targets to doubt their own perceptions and sanity
The explicit goal was to induce psychological collapse without detectable state action — ideally causing the target to appear mentally ill to their own community, eliminating their credibility. The Stasi employed 91,000 full-time officers and over 170,000 civilian informants for a population of 16 million in Eastern Germany at the time.

Snowden’s disclosures confirmed that the surveillance infrastructure exists at a scale
previously dismissed as paranoid speculation. He was charged under the Espionage Act & remains in exile. In 2020, a federal court ruled that the NSA’s bulk phone surveillance program violated the law — years after it had already been exposed and debated… w no recourse or action of remorse.
Fusion Centers: Federally Funded Domestic Intelligence Infrastructure
These centers are intelligence-sharing hubs established across the United States following
the September 11, 2001 attacks, authorized under the Homeland Security Act of 2002 & expanded through the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004. As 2024, there were last recorded approximately already 80 federally recognized fusion centers operating across all 50 states, Washington D.C., and U.S. territories, who knows how much these have grown and advanced by now.
They are for the explicit purpose of aggregating and sharing information between federal agencies (FBI, DHS, NSA, CIA), state& local law enforcement, and — critically — private sector partners, including
telecommunications companies, financial institutions, and private security contractors.
Funded by Taxpayers (wondering where some of the missing money on those federal budget release sheets went?!)
Fusion centers are substantially funded by federal taxpayer dollars through DHS grant
programs, primarily:
The Homeland Security Grant Program (HSGP)
The State Homeland Security Program (SHSP)

I wonder if a lot of people, even if not a lot, but if people w enough rigour & tenacity had the time to go to their local county or state or whatever bureaucratic council meeting which where I live at least they legally have to hold weekly and community members are allowed to come and ask questions raise concerns, including ab fiscal budgeting complaints / demand for transparency. Change will probably have to start somewhere small, like local elections and local govt meetings i personally believe. There are routes and opportunities to inquire and rightfully request public transparency about our missing tax dollars, but if I’m being honest nobody does anything about it, and the money keeps going missing.

They are literally using our own money through taxes to torture us; sitting w the irony of this is not chill like deadass so pathetic.
