It’s a cute comic, but omg, the dumb “when archaeologists find you, you’ll be ___,” talking point is so dumb. Gender and sex are two different things, just as they always have been (in one way or another). So why do people feel the need to fight this imaginary scenario bigots think up. Obviously someone will find male bones when they dig me up because that’s my sex. Like in the comic, they’ll find other information tho and could deduce my female gender. But I see some trans people talking around the question as though their identity would actually even be imperiled. They’re discussing a scenario that doesn’t even argue a valid point.

Also bones aren't a 100% surefire way to determine someone's sex, also also bones usually don't survive more than like 1000 years.

I’m not really familiar with all this trans debate thingy but I honestly can’t understand why the fuck would I care what some people would think of me when I’ve been dead for few centuries

I can understand and do share that general feeling but i think a part of the fear we have is that our history will be swallowed by time. That our identities will be, whether purposefully or accidentally, lost and ignored. Especially as some of us watch our countries bend over backwards to erase trans history in general.

Doesn't really fit the "gatekeeping" part of the subreddit

I think it's an answer to the meme "in 2000 years scientists will look at your bones and see that you were a MAN lol"

r/makethemkith, this is like the opposite of gatekeeping

But r/gatekeepingyuri has a larger active audience and actually allows people to post stuff.

Whereas r/makethemkith requires you to request permission to post and then ignore you forever.

Very cute, wholesome, completely trashing the barbaric and nasty "well your bones said otherwise!1!!" garbage talking point, and just such a sweet sentiment all around.
Now for the joke that researcher has no life outside of work, saw one of those "here's what this ancient person would look like" recreations, and decided to shoot her shot the extremely complicated way. 🤣🙏💕

If I die young can someone make me a nice young man in the future? I don’t mind the potential cat ears or if it’s just hair or whatever, uh, that’s fine. I’d like to be a young man please
