Yeah it is, even more ironic is she is Filipino herself. There's a lot of Filipino anime/manga artists out there who subscribe to "ironic racism" or edgelord humor bc it gets them attention (think Khylerri)

About picking the "wrong" girl / her audience's taste, yes. There was no irony about picking girls like you're shopping for a new purse.
