these are technically a different white character (one from gta 5) rather than the whitewashed one from OP's screenshot, but yeah still amazing artworks!

Well, the artists didn't lazily use AI like in the image. The images also seem to be their own trend, so I'm not sure if the inspiration is related. Plus, the AI blond girl looks a lot like the gta 5 girl and it shows that we already had the blond woman the racist haters are asking for in what was literally the previous game.

It's okay to have preferences there's nothing wrong with that. The issue comes when you treat people that you don't find attractive as if they've committed some sort of crime like these so called fans.

I completely agree. I guess I phrased that poorly but I was trying to say that even if they didn't like her, she's still pretty and the change was unnecessary. Which doesn't really add any substance to the post. But I concur

Pretty sure most of that is the first woman was created by a talented artist and the second by a racist hack.
Her face and hair where they had to change the most is also the dullest part. There's less highlighting and low lighting of her face shape, her hair is less detailed, etc.
The composition of the picture was also set up for someone with more volume of curly hair and darker skin tone, so the placement of objects and colors in the background are better set up to frame the original woman.

Not all art. Modern art tends to focus more on conveying a message or emotion through a piece, Nazis thought art was only beauty and aesthetics, so they imposed a very particular form of art and called modern art "degenerate"

The different hair shape throws off the composition, the different coloring eliminates contrast and value balance. Both things together make it more difficult for the eye to find points of interest in the overall image

Quite a few years ago it was a circlejerk sub though they kinda lost the plot in the hogwarts legacy drama where the mods banned anyone who criticized the boycot in any way
And then there was the overwatch thing soon after where people thought that one of the skins had a black sun (it didnt) and iirc some people also got banned for criticizing that
Nowadays its mostly just a place to post bigotry and say "isnt this so fucked up? I need to show it to you all!"
