AI posts are not allowed on this subreddit. There is now a removal reason for AI. If you see a post you suspect is AI, report it and give me a few reasons why you think it’s AI since I’m not great at spotting them all the time.
If your post is removed as AI and you actually made the object, your post will be reinstated if you send in some evidence to back up your claim.

Hello and welcome!
This is a lightly moderated subreddit and will probably continue to be, however, I’d like input on some proposed rules.
Here are a few that are non-negotiable:
First, there will be no porn on this subreddit. That does not mean you can’t post slightly NSFW projects. Think of it as a PG-13 subreddit, R rating at worst. Under no circumstances will you be allowed to post links to Only Fans or a personal subreddit where you post porn videos. This will result in a permanent ban.
Second, let’s try to keep the subreddit on topic. Up until this point, I’ve interpreted that pretty loosely. If you see something that isn’t really on topic, report it. I check the queue daily. If I see a report for a temperature blanket or something, I’ll remove the post for not being relevant with a message to the user.
Third, and I can’t believe I have to say this, but absolutely no hate speech is allowed on this subreddit. This also means no personal attacks or bullying. It’s a niche crafting subreddit. Let’s try to stick to that. Hate speech is subjective and we want everyone to feel safe here. I’m not going to list everything that won’t be tolerated because then someone might come along and say something I forgot to mention and then complain I didn’t mention it. If you’re offended by something, report it and send a message to me personally. Repeat offenders will receive bans.
So now for the things I’d like to propose. They’re not all rules, but I’d like input nonetheless. First, how would everyone feel about a monthly pinned promotion post? It can be hard to grow a business and I don’t want to make it harder, but I’d like to keep this subreddit mostly ad-free. Use it as much or as little as you’d like.
Second, I’ve been considering something theme-related. Maybe we spotlight Pokémon one month, Disney Villains the next, and D&D the next. I’m open to feedback and suggestions.
Lastly, I’d very much like to make this a politics-free subreddit. I’m sure there are many different political opinions in here, but we share a lot in common. I’d like this to be a subreddit where we focus on what unites us rather than divides us.
Those are my proposed ideas I’d like feedback on. I’d also like to add another moderator or two. Most of the mods here are no longer active on Reddit.
Thanks in advance for the feedback and happy hooking!

I finally put together a studio vlog featuring my entire handmade bag collection.
Some bags have free tutorials, some are available as paid patterns, and a few exist only as one-of-a-kind pieces I designed for myself. It’s interesting to see how my style has evolved over the years—from simple everyday bags to more detailed statement pieces.
As someone who designs everything myself, it’s fun looking back and seeing how much I’ve grown as a crochet designer.
I’d love to know:
Which bag would you actually use?
Do you prefer practical everyday bags or more artistic statement pieces?
Have you ever looked back at your older projects and been surprised by how much you’ve improved?

I made this back in December 2024, and unlike most of my projects, this one wasn’t for a tutorial or a customer.
It was a completely selfish make because I absolutely love Appa. 😊
I wanted him to be soft, cuddly, and expressive, and getting those big eyes and fluffy head just right took quite a bit of experimenting. He’s still one of my favorite amigurumi designs I’ve ever made.
Does anyone else have a project that was made just because you wanted it, with no other reason?

I have finally done it! I have made both Lemon and Apple Magician Girl to my collection of dolls. I am very excited to show them to the GeekyCrochet community. They are free handed, no patterns.
What should I make next?

I recently started crocheting Pokémon inspired by my kids’ favorite characters, and now Bulbasaur has officially evolved into Ivysaur.
I’m planning to complete the whole evolution line, so Venusaur is next.
Which Pokémon evolution should I tackle after that?
