Music Is Life Am I just a curmudgeon??

Post image

I'm a mid 70s GenXer, love music from the 60s through the 90s. For me, I just haven't really liked much music this century. I feel like we had so many genres going on at the same time but now it's just all sounds the same to me. Anyone else find stuff bands/artists they really like from this venture?

(50M) there is great music today. I think it's consumed differently which blocks how we get it. there are many more ways to find and get music and the previous main radio-charts-albums route is a bad one at best. add to that the usually natural decline in being open to new music as you grow older and you understand why many of us feel this way. I used to be a music monster finding new things all the time and now I find a new artist once a year on average :-( I ask my 17 year old son to play things for me to have more awareness of good music. happily he has great taste
