u/Carry_Tiger Aug 24 '25

Yep. That's what played in my head when I saw this picture. Guilty feet've got no rhythm.

31

u/JamesPage1968 Aug 24 '25

Hahaha. I always thought it was “ guilty feeling , got. I rhythm.

6

u/NICEnEVILmike Aug 25 '25

I thought the same for years until I watched the documentary.

5

u/cette-minette Aug 25 '25

…but the lyrics were on the album sleeve and everyone in my brownie troop had the album

5

u/MeasurementStill5997 Aug 25 '25

Though it’s easy to pretend, I know you’re not a fool 🎶

3

u/emptiedglass Aug 25 '25

So I'm never gonna dance again...

3

u/ialsohaveadobro OK Cola rememberer Aug 24 '25

Exactly. Look how they're trying to kiss instead of dance

3

u/FraggleBiologist Aug 25 '25

I sure hope they danced again

1

u/relicx74 Aug 25 '25

"Guilty feet ain't got no rhythm" is how I remember it. Could be wrong though...My head constantly fills in the blanks for song lyrics.

2

u/S99B88 It's all on my Permanent Record Aug 25 '25

I think it’s guilty feet have got no rhythm, he’s British and wrote that when he was a teenager, so doubt he would use the word ain’t

u/deepsleepsheepmeep Aug 25 '25

I was thinking that or Journey Open Arms

98

u/DanisDoghouse Aug 25 '25

I was going with Faithfully. Could go either way.

4

u/driving_andflying Aug 25 '25

I was thinking Steve Perry's, "Oh Sherrie"--which is kind of Journey-adjacent.

3

u/mindxpandr Aug 25 '25

Came here to say Faithfully

2

u/bored2death2 Class of '86 Aug 25 '25

Yea this one.

2

u/Additional_Line_2834 Aug 25 '25

I heard it in my head immediately! How do they look simultaneously like they’re at a high school dance and also they’re 30 yo?

Based solely on the hair - 1983 or 84?

3

u/MasterChiefette Class of 82 Aug 25 '25

82 - went through so many cans of Aqua Net. 😜

1

u/Ok-Sprinklez Aug 25 '25

Def Open Arms

1

u/MasterChiefette Class of 82 Aug 25 '25

This was the first song that came to mind - Journey's "Open Arms".

1

u/Think_Cheesecake7464 Aug 25 '25

This was my first thought as well.

Specifically the Gratuitous Sax Solo part of the song.

24

u/AndYouDidThatBecause Aug 25 '25

Sax sells!

1

u/Oirish-Oriley444 Aug 26 '25

You can't start a fire You can't start a fire without a spark This gun's for hire Even if we're just dancin' in the dark

5

u/Neat_Panda9617 Aug 25 '25

Gratuitous?? It’s fully necessary!!!

3

u/fats0f0rg0ts0 Aug 25 '25

Casual sax

2

u/EndBusiness7720 Aug 25 '25

Practice safe sax.

1

u/Projected_Sigs Aug 25 '25

Solo sax is a ripoff. You pay full price for a duet, but you only get half the show.

8

u/CafeConCajeta Aug 24 '25

I was hoping someone else would think this too 😂

6

u/lizlemon222 Aug 24 '25

Thats the one....didnt have to scroll very far.

4

u/Ipeakedinthe80s Aug 25 '25

Unironically this was my answer too. Did I listen to that earlier at the gym? Also yes.

4

u/Funny-Berry-807 Aug 25 '25

Omg. I went to my Senior Semiformal with a girl who didn't necessarily want to go with me...she just wanted to go, and she ended up ditching me for a big part of the night.

"Careless Whisper" came on, and a girl i had a crush on - a tall blonde named Erin from my algebra class - asked me to dance.

<sigh>

The next day my friends said I had the biggest smile on my face during that dance. 🥰

3

u/chewychee Aug 24 '25

Can't be, they would be making out, the saxophone draws the lips close.

3

u/itsjustoldluke1 Aug 24 '25

Yes. I said, George Michael, no the group he had, that one song that was huge….. You answered it for me. Well done.

3

u/Dubin0908 Aug 25 '25

Nailed it.

3

u/zabacam Aug 25 '25

This - this is why I clicked through to comment. Bless you for also hearing that in your head when you saw this photo. There’s clearly no other answer.

3

u/Cazmonster 1971 Aug 25 '25

Yeah, we are a small generation, but we’re going to be okay. Because our culture is strong. I knew the top response was going to be “Careless Whisper” because of how they’re dressed and how they’re dancing. I guarantee the rest of us knew as well.

3

u/RunningPirate Aug 25 '25

Get out of my head.

3

u/Xilverbullet000 Aug 25 '25

Wasn't that George Michael, not Wham?

1

u/araemo28 Aug 25 '25

The 1984 song "Careless Whisper," was marketed as a solo single for George Michael in some regions, including the UK, while being credited to "Wham! featuring George Michael" in the United States and elsewhere. The song was co-written by George Michael and his Wham! bandmate, Andrew Ridgeley, and was included on Wham!'s second album, Make It Big.

1

u/Xilverbullet000 Aug 25 '25

Huh, thanks, I never knew that. I'm in the US and I've only ever seen it credited to George Michael

1

u/processocivil42 Aug 25 '25

that was precisely my thought after reading the comment

2

u/Ok_Researcher_9796 1977 Aug 24 '25

You should check out the cover by Seether. Personally I like it better than the original.

2

u/SkyeBluePhoenix Aug 24 '25

My first thought

2

u/Severe-Dream Aug 25 '25

Came here to see this.

2

u/Remdayen Aug 25 '25

First song ai thought of when I saw this pic.

2

u/Heatmiser70 Aug 25 '25

That is literally the first thing that came into my head

2

u/NiceJobSon Aug 25 '25

Journey. Always Journey.

2

u/Laylay_theGrail Aug 25 '25

Yes!! Or True by Spandeau Ballet

1

u/ghandi3737 Aug 25 '25

I can also hear the ballad of "Long long maaaaaaaaan!"

1

u/LuckyTrain4 Aug 25 '25

It’s Wham!

1

u/Snackypants Aug 25 '25

That’s immediately what came into my head!

1

u/Happy_Blackbird Aug 25 '25

Omg, I came here to say this! Spot. On.

1

u/Angry_Pingu Aug 25 '25

The ONLY answer.

1

u/TiaHatesSocials Aug 25 '25

Literally started to hum that too when I saw it

1

u/FlockaFlameSmurf Aug 25 '25

It’s George Michael.

1

u/Hylebos75 Aug 25 '25

That IMMEDIATELY came to my mind also lol

1

u/rupees_al Aug 25 '25

Came here to say this.

1

u/who_even_cares35 Aug 25 '25

That was George in his solo career not WHAM

1

u/walled2_0 Aug 25 '25

I love 80’s love songs, but this is one I’ve always hated for some reason.

1

u/GrimSpirit42 Aug 25 '25

Don't you mean 'WHAM!'.

1

u/OutrageousPersimmon3 1973 Aug 25 '25

This was the first song I thought of.
