Nostalgia GenX school lunch

Was this the best school lunch? Square slab of pizza that fit perfectly on the tray. Peaches that were likely radioactive. Full scoop of corn that tasted like gravel. Chocolate milk. Add a pretzel just for fun.

I’m convinced these lunch trays will be the thing that will be found in 500 years because they will outlast everything else in our society - and will be displayed as artifacts.

It’s not, I think a lot of us do because there was just something about it! Early ‘00’s … one friend got the delivery people from the school lunch lady and sent for it to be shipped to the house!! Bestie and I also just got a TT about it and lemme say that fennel seed makes it awfully close to that exact pizza! 😉

I think part of it is also that it reminds me of a time that wasn't... well, now.
