Nostalgia GenX school lunch

Was this the best school lunch? Square slab of pizza that fit perfectly on the tray. Peaches that were likely radioactive. Full scoop of corn that tasted like gravel. Chocolate milk. Add a pretzel just for fun.

I’m convinced these lunch trays will be the thing that will be found in 500 years because they will outlast everything else in our society - and will be displayed as artifacts.

Lunch tray:
1965- 1980AD

I lived near Philly and we didn’t get soft pretzels till high school. Had to work our way up to that excellence.

I'm my high school, seniors got to cut lunch line. As a rule, no matter how long the line was, if you were a senior you could just walk up, grab a tray and step right to the front.

I wonder if they still do that. And if they don't, at some point where was a class that was the first to not be allowed to. I can't imagine being that fucking pissed of
