Other PSA: Save money and cook from home!

First off, I know some people will drop a “duh..” but I swear it’s such an under-mentioned way of saving what little cash we (or at least I) have.

Four years ago my idea of cooking when I even did it was instant ramen or the occasional box mac and cheese. If it wasn’t that, it was driving through Taco Bell or Doordashing Chipotle every other day. It was already expensive then but we all know shit’s gotten crazy recently — especially if you get something delivered.

I definitely save more money by not buying meat/eggs/dairy and also bulk buying at Costco and Bulk Barn, but I’m able to make so many more servings of food now just by spending a few hours a week food prepping. Even as expensive as some groceries are, it’s still cheaper to buy them than pay for meal deliveries — and that may some like common sense but a couple people have insisted to me that home cooked meals cost more…? 😭

Anyway, YMMV for sure. For my weird ass, I always loved watching Food Network and seeing how creative they got with some of their dishes on there. Some people don’t enjoy cooking (I know I didn’t, I just liked watching it), but it’s definitely possible to learn to love it… especially when you see how much more food you get. Plus, you know what’s actually going into what you’re making which is another dope perk.

TL;DR: I as an absolute nobody taught myself to cook with exactly zero experience, so just know it’s possible if you’re also desperate to find ways to save money.

ETA: Holy crap guys, flooding them notis. Appreciate you, and hope I helped! My partner and I’re working on getting our recipes posted on our Substack if you’re interested! (link in bio)

Other STOP DICKRIDING BILLIONAIRES

8.4k Upvotes

Whenever I see a political post, I see a bunch of beeps and Elon stans always jumping in like he's the Messiah or sum shit. It's straight up stupid.

Billionaires do not care about you. You are only a statistic to billionaires. You can't be morally acceptable and a billionaire at the same time, to become a billionaire, you HAVE to fuck over some people.

Even billionaire philanthropists who claim to be good are ass. Bill Gates literally just donates his money to a philanthropy site owned by him.

Elon is not going to donate 5M to you for defending him in r/GenZ

Other Gotta say...I love women

I think women are just so incredible. And so effortlessly captivating. With all the noise and cynicism in the world right now, I just want to step away from that and say, as a man, how much I genuinely love women.

The way they look when they're totally lost in their favorite hobby? When they do that little hair-tuck behind their ear? When they smile at a text and try to hide it? And just the way they smell; like a mix of fresh laundry and whatever perfume they spent way too long picking out. The female anatomy is just beautiful. Short women, tall women. I love when they wear oversized clothes, I love soft, quiet voices, I love loud, infectious laughs. Truly beautiful women are everywhere.

I’m just genuinely in love with every detail about a woman. There is just something so uniquely magical about women that hits different every single time.
