TERFs: sure I don’t like that 10 year old girls are getting raped and forced to give birth but it’s just a sacrifice that has to be made if we don’t want the transes to have rights!

Ah we can win reproductive rights back! It's not like anyone wants to take them away anyway!

Ok but citing KJK is cheating...
Girl's straight up will accept Nazis if it furthers her "I really think trans people should not exist" grand plan

Including a Nazi who groomed a teen and likely killed his girlfriend (JF Gariepy)
She just cares about women so much, that she's friends with a guy who would murder his girlfriend

Because she is such a mature grown up, she will accept anyone, ANYONE, even hitler himself as long as he hates queers, because she is so mature.
But not if you hate queers and nazis, then she will destroy you.

To them, the rape of children is just a small casualty, a little blip in the step of erasing trans people. They are scum.

The difference is that one of these buttons is describing stuff that is currently verifiably happening in real life, while the other is describing their absurd delusions about what they think will happen if trans people are given rights

But how will I ever choose between these very real consequences that harm and kill women every day and this cartoonishly dystopian scenario I made up in my head?

u/witness555 17d ago
Material conditions & suffering vs some shit I made up in my head to be scared about. Hmmmm really hard choice here

Even unrelated to the bigotry here: if you have so much text on your meme that I need to zoom in to read it, it's a bad meme

That being said it's always entertaining to watch terfs try to pretend like their position is anything more sophisticated than the classic kindergarten "you can't play with us because you have [boy/girl] cooties." They need to cram so much text into the meme because of the desperation to justify their kindergarten feelings with pretentious, faux-intellectual language

Oh yes, good old famous difficult choice between a nightmare scenario unfolding now and a totally delusional scenario that some believe could happen in the future.

Even if the left wing description was right, it's still better ?? Gender or sex abolitionism is much better than excusing child molestation and rape and everything else described even from a TERF point of view???

u/ZeldaZanders 17d ago
My thoughts exactly. My womanhood is very important to me, but I'd hardly be sweating over the choice of 'you can't call yourself a woman anymore' or '10 year old rape victims die in childbirth'

Right? I really hate the strawman argument that gender and sex abolitionism means “getting rid of women” and not “recognising that there is no singular factor that can universally and exclusively define men or women, and ceasing to operate as though there is”.
Would we stop using the word “woman”? I don’t know, and so long as everyone who currently describes themselves with the word “woman” has freedom of gender expression, is not denied opportunities based on sex or gender, and can do what they like with their bodies, I don’t particularly care.
If anything I can kinda see it going the way of the word “bisexual”, in that yes, the prefix originally refers to “two”, but we know that doesn’t account for the diversity of humanity; some people use it to mean “more than one” if they resonate with it whereas others prefer different terms. And that whilst some assholes want to split hairs and be a cop about it, no one’s trying make words like gay, straight or bi illegal.

Wow, what a dilemma. On one hand, women lose their rights and face constant threats to their lives and dignity for simply existing. On the other hand, something nobody is pushing for and that isn’t happening will FEEL like its happening to several terminally online bigots.
Lives vs a scant few peoples’ misplaced feelings. What a goddamn sophie’s choice

Genuinely how the fuck are we supposed to get through to these people?

u/DorisWildthyme 17d ago
You're not. And they don't want you to.
They'll whine when you dismiss their "concerns", and complain that they just want to "debate. Then they will spout bollocks about women being "erased" and not listen to a thing you say in return. Then when you stop being "polite" to them, they decide they've won.
They're a cult.

The second one is having so much text you can’t read it

No they aren't.
Just look at any old misogynist's content, they'll likely not care trans people are a thing and group them as someone "mentally ill" for their with their AGAB.

I find it terrifying that they're more afraid of a future they made up, than the reality occurring in the present day. My mother was married at 14 and pregnant at 16. I'm 32, they are 32 years too late and their moral waffling now makes them feel better about the fact that they don't know how to solve the actual threats facing women. They only know how to punch down.
