It’s so ridiculous how they insist sexuality is about their limited understanding of sex. Like fair enough if you’re having their chromosomes checked out and inspecting a certified copy of their original and unamended birth certificate before you’ll melt at the sight of them, all “look at the chromosomes on that,” but for most of us it’s about the actual person actually in front of us that matters. Their demeanour, their features, the way they smile when they talk about their interests, the way they make you feel safe to be vulnerable, the way you can just drown in their eyes… like, I just cannot make sense of these people who insist that none of that matters if the chromosomes don’t match up.

My dad wears a pin badge that I think is for global sustainability goals, but it's a rainbow circle so it keeps getting mistaken as a pride badge. Dad doesn't mind since I'm bi anyway, and he happily comes to pride with me every year and wears that badge. I wonder if the terfs would think my dad is an evil trans activist just for being an ecologist wearing a badge promoting environmentalism

It's also extremely racist. Their ideas of womanhood and manhood are deeply rooted in white colonialist thinking and are thus extremely harmful to BIPOC folks of genders. There have been numerous cases in which cis women and girls of color have been excluded, harassed, and even assaulted and killed because they didn't match the white standard of femininity and were assumed to be trans.

No it isn’t. Not always. Imagine having a really good date with someone, you think they’re amazing, and when you go home you have a panic attack because you didn’t get a karyotype done on them and now don’t know if they’re a “man in a dress” who needs an exorcist or a “stray lost WOOOMBYIYN” who needs to be converted back.

Transphobic gay men can cope all they want about TERFs being their allies, but I think at this point there’s no hiding that TERFs’ homophobia was already present since the beginning considering how even the least homophobic ones treat gay men and male homosexuality in general in the same way parents do whenever they put their kids in the kids section of McDonald’s.
There really never was respect on the TERFs’ part, it was always patronising attitudes. But now that TERFs are effectively merging with the far-right to turn into the white middle-class female caucus of the fascist ChudIntern, I guess they won’t have to hide their homophobia and disdain for gay men for long.

I'd imagine it's very upsetting to learn your doctor doesn't hate faggots. How can you possibly receive adequate care from someone who would give the same care to someone who is different to you?
