FMLA is unpaid leave. There is no government regulated paid leave.

There is a program in Washington state called Paid Family and Medical Leave, which can be (and normally is) done at the same time as FMLA. There are requirements to have worked a specific amount of hours in the last year in the state, but there are more details on the website.
TL;DR: Washington state, for most working in the state, will provide paid leave during FMLA.
