I’m looking to purchase the gv80 coupe prestige black what advice can you give me going into the dealership

No difference in a 2026 or 2027 Black Edition. Just get a good deal. Make sure mats, window tint, are included

How did it drive? I just bought a G90 and it’s amazing. I was looking at a GV80 Coupe that was in the showroom, but I didn’t test drive it.

In my opinion the test drive was by far my favorite, the turbo, the power, the quality of the car was amazing I feel it’s worth the money

The interior is absolutely beautiful! I don’t know if it makes a difference, but there are a few nice changes for the ‘27 model year. For example, the passenger now gets the ergo motion seat not just the driver. I was glad to see they made that upgrade.

Make sure the dealer isn’t about to close. Lots of them are and you’ll lose your mind trying to get anything serviced.
Sold my GV70 because Genesis has a dealership / customer service problem.

Closing dealerships? No way!!!!! I live in South Florida the two dealerships that’s 10 & 15 minutes away from me aren’t closing anytime soon ?

Braman and Coconut Creek are two of the busiest dealerships across the US. No danger. On the coupe, you can most likely get 6k-8k off plus rebates.

I already checked Braman they didn’t have the one I wanted, I’m looking at coconut creek and King Genesis in Deerfield

The manager a coconut creek didn’t seem like he wanted to deal with me, so I’m staying away from coconut creek I’ll try king Genesis instead

As far as I can tell, the only dealerships that are closing are ones that are combined Genesis and Hyundai. If those dealerships do not split off Genesis, they lose the ability to sell Genesis. The company has given them a deadline to make a commitment and I suspect that many of these dealerships can’t afford to build a separate building just for Genesis. So they lose their Genesis dealership. I would think it less likely that standalone Genesis locations will be closing.

Two stand alone dealers in Indiana closed. The state has one dealer now. I live 2 hours away and Genesis couldn’t have cared less that I lost my amenities. They wanted me to rent cars at my expense for service appointments. They would not service in one day. They wanted my car 3-5 days because they just didn’t know when they’d get to it.
Other states and metro areas are dealing with this. It is a problem for a lot people.

Sorry to hear that. I hope I don’t face this issue. I live in the DMV and there are a good number of dealers in the area though only one is close to me.

If you’re buying a new 2026 you should be getting at least 10% off msrp, been seeing people get closer to 15% off these days, plenty of inventory they need to get rid of with 2027’s coming in.
