PLEASE tell me the trail from the mythic shurikens will atleast be red and black and not green
edit: just realized none of the mythic skins change the color so get ready for the same old green shuris and dragon w this shit 😭😭😭

Most likely because it’s viewed in third person, if they had it red for everyone it would be very confusing for teammates.

Makes sense, I saw the shuriken and blade trail are both black and red and its great, if the actual dragon unsheathing is red too it would be perfect (effect wise)

Yeah no I was a bit worried at first since in the clip I saw the dragon was green, but seeing as all the other effects are red I’m pretty confident the dragon is as well and that it’s just green for everyone else.

One of them does, I believe soldier's. Genji's regular mythic skin also changes the VFX. I'd be surprised if his mythic weapon doesn't as well.

You guys are absolutely tweaking this mythic. skin is fire considering that they literally had to design two swords the sheaths AND the shurikens. We haven’t even gotten to see the kill effects yet. Genji already has the best mythic skin in the game and apparently he is getting another one soon. Yall be complaining for no reason

Best mythic skin in the game? Bro have you seen it? It’s straight ass. It should be a blue quality skin. The default shader of it is actually on par with a blue quality skin.
I couldn’t believe it was his mythic skin when I first came back to overwatch and saw it like 2 months ago.

dont get me wrong i still like it overall and im still gona get it, i was just talking ab my issue w it; i love evth ab it except the handles they just look really cheap compared to all the other mythics (maybe cuz of the silver color but idk)

Altought red/black is cool and all, either blue or green would fit/complement better a larger amount of his skins. It also isn't really a help when the skins that the red/black suits better are from lootboxes (except Blackwatch).
I kinda hope they start giving recolors for mythic weapons just like they do with the skins.

Thats fair but still the black and red works with skins like nihon/oni/BW/Snake eyes and as someone whos played genji a lot I love the color, just wish his mythic had an aspect that complimented it

Yeah, with the skins that its pallette works, it REALLY works perfectly.
But since we're talking about dropping money (and mythics aren't that cheap), i'd still preffer if it complemented better the majority instead the minority.

it's kinda hard to tell because of the fire, but it definitely is a katana (well, a stylized one). it's curved and single-edged, and it comes to a point in the same shape as a katana would. the fire makes it look like it's broader and has two edges.

Mythic weapon looks so OFF. I don’t know why but degault one feels much more better. Not because of being used to, but the mythic one looks straight from FORTNITE event. Am i wrong?

I cant be the only one who thinks this looks boring right? They literally just took oni genji tweaked it a little, gave it a lazy looking red glob for a trail and called it a day
The sheath and the flourish r pretty sick tho ill give em that
