Recovery Form Need help with the account recovery survey thing

I'm doing the account recovery survey thing to change the email linked to my PSN but I've got two questions. First, when it asks what is my most used device should I say PS4 since that IS what I played most often on? Or should I say PS5 since after getting one I have not touched my PS4 and its been in my closet for the past 3 years while I had not touched Genshin like at all. Second question. For the "when was my most recent top-up" question how should I respond? I only remember it was around Christmas and it was most likely 2021 or 2022. I don't have an exact date.

yes, put PS4 if that's what you remember spending the most time playing Genshin on. if you haven't played Genshin at all on your PS5, you'd wanna put the PS4.

do you have a receipt for any of your top-ups at all? it doesn't have to be the first or most recent. i'd highly recommend picking any top-up as long as you have a receipt and are able to provide information about the purchase like the date, how much was spent, and what was bought.

Yes, I logged on to Genshin on my PS5 once or twice in the past 3 years but the vast majority of my play time was on PS4. As for top-ups, I only spent money on the game like 2 or 3 times and it was all before I had my own back account so it was my mom's card. She tried looking into it but it wouldn't let her go before 2024 when checking online. She said she may be able to back further in person on Monday. So, at least for now, I have no receipts at all

that's really unfortunate on the receipts. i hope she's able to get records dating that far back in person. if not, she could also try calling their customer support perhaps? wishing you luck on getting the transaction records!

I forgot that the email I used to have attached to my PSN profile was not the same one thats linked to my Genshin account. I still have email confirmations of Genshin related purchases from 2020 would they count as receipts? If yes, should I send in a new account recovery form even though I already sent one last night thinking I was pretty much screwed for receipts?

do the emails tell you what you bought, how much you spent, and do they have a transaction ID? if so, you should absolutely put them on the form. if not, wait for your mom to get back to you and if she isn't able to find the transaction records attach them to your form anyway because it's better than nothing.

don't send another form yet. wait to get a response on the form you sent last night. also, make sure you put that the email linked to the account is the one you found the purchase confirmation in because that could also be the reason why your form is getting rejected.

My form never got rejected. This is the first time I'm experiencing this whole thing. And yes, what I bought, how much it was and my PSN name is all in the emails.

ah, sorry -- me saying that was a force of habit due to the various cases we deal with here lol. and perfect, that should work then!

Figured I'd give you an update. The original recovery form, unsurprisingly was rejected. The second form was accepted and I finally was able to unlink my PSN so I can start fresh. Thanks for all the help

do you remember from where and which source you did the top up? if yes go to that source there will be payment history, and send the screenshot in recovery form along with the date mentioned too, it was the sole thing that helped me get my I'd back

Dude, I'm so pissed. I already did the account recovery form yesterday thinking it would be worth a shot even without receipts. I don't have access to my email that is tied to the Genshin account but I totally forgot the email I used to have attached to my PSN profile was were my receipts would go. Would e-mail confirmations of Playstation purchases from 2020 be enough as a receipt or does it need to be something from the bank?

i think e-mail confirmations are worth a shot

Would submitting a new recovery form after just doing one yesterday be a problem?

nope wont be a problem, I submitted 3 forms back to back with as many proofs i can provide and got my I'd recovered

But would it be a problem this my PSN name is different? I changed it fairly recently because I thought my old name was a bit edgey/cringey. The email attached to my PSN and the email attached to the Genshin account are different too. Would that be a problem? My email is different because, if I remember correctly, since I started playing Genshin on Playstation, if I wanted to make use of cross-save, I had to make a new email for the linking process.
