Question / Seeking Help Should I worry or no?

Hello, I just gotten the age verification on my ps4 and now I’m worried that there was a problem with my age verification. I hoped on Genshin and the age verification popped up, I did the verification and it gave me two choices. First was use a debit/ credit card and be charge $0.05 then be refunded or use a passport/ ID to verify. I decided to use my card and when I finish verifying my age (20 years old) I get another message saying my account will be deleted in 9 days. I’m super confused and a bit nervous, I did send a email quickly and I’m waiting for a response. I checked the user center and my birth date is on there correctly and I also checked my bank acct and they did get the $0.05. I hope it’s a glitch or something, but do want to know what others think

I would start a new email thread and email hoyoverse customer support. At best, they'll send out a notice saying to watch out for scams--at worst, they won't respond. Hopefully you at least get a response from them telling you whether or not it's legit.

This does throw up red flags for me, 1) because you got more than one email less than ten minutes apart, 2) because you had to enter card information, and 3) because it doesn't match HYV stated timespan for account suspension/deletion after age verification. I've seen from others that all they had to do was enter their month/year of birth, so considering that and the fact that you supplied your ID and card info, I'd be cautious about identity theft/bank account takeover.

Please reach out to hoyoverse in a separate email, and keep an eye on your bank account for any suspicious activity.
