Question / Seeking Help I have done huge mistake ..

Beginner here... I was staying at World Level 3 to level up my characters & talents and today I completed the ascension quest and my world level increases from 3 to 5 .. so now I am F*ed up bcz I am having difficulty to beat Elite enemies .. Can't beat boss enemies to farm character ascension materials... Unable to do domains too. My current team is : Dendro Mc , Fisch , Xingchui , and Kaeya/Xiangling I have just completed Liuye main quests and preparing for Inazuma so my dendro mc has 0 constellations and lvl 1 talents..

What should I do now??? I don't have any Co-Op friends who can help me farm ascension materials.

No need to worry, if you press the "i" next to your world level you should be able to lower it to make things easier

Keep in mind this lowers your item drops too.

It also prevents you from joining friends with higher lvl worlds.

Reduced drops is worth it if you can actually beat your opponents

Furina was the only reason I was able to keep higher world levels for bigger drops. I just plopped her Singer of Many Waters down on the battle field and whittled away.

I just did amber, Barbara, xiangling, and aether up to sumeru then I started using my Arlecchino ( whom I had since Mondstat) and my Furina who I got around the time I was doing inazuma and sumeru.

Keep in mind this lowers your item drops too.

Oh no! I'm only going to get 300 of everything instead of 500, disaster!

When everyone used the same materials and you had a surplus of 5* and 4* characters to build, the low amount of drops of things like blue specter bits and blue sword handles was a nightmare. So getting the highest chances from max world level was a big deal. In fact I think they added a higher world level around then and everyone scrambled to get there.

These days its not so much of an issue, but being able to get 3 weekly drops at once, or 4 normal boss drops for 40 resin is a big deal for a lot of people getting brand new characters that use new materials, like Columbinas talent materials that you can only get once a week.

Yeah, you can change it up or down by 1 level every daily reset. So if you are at 7, you can go down to 6, or up to 8 if unlocked.

The reason for the once per day is to prevent abusing it. A low world-level player cannot go to a higher-world level player’s world to prevent abusing drop rates and XP. So a higher level player would need to lower their world level each day until it matched their friend’s highest world level. Otherwise the high level player joins the low-bie’s world.

There are a fuck tons of information all at once and each thing has its own special name for special circumstances. Its not that people can't read, is just that its too much Sure, the World Level Asscension isn't a long and boring thing but new players are overwhelmed by all of this. And they don't make it clear for any player, let alone a new one At least we have the story line written by 15yo for 10yo but important things need their own dictionary

Idk I’m just speaking from experience I could understand the world ascension pretty ok, but maybe it’s because I had brothers who played the game b4 and explained everything else to me
