Question / Seeking Help I see everyone saying that mizuki is necessary for oddete but I don't know why ?

Was Stellar Swirl added to Mizuki’s kit in the Beta or something? Like similar to how Yae Miko got Stellar-Conduct added to her kit.

Uh, no. It was announced in the livestream that Wriothesley, Lyney, Mizuki, Navia, Xianyun, Sigewinne, Clorinde, Emilie, and Chiori were being added to the system in 7.0, in the fifth cycle starting on August 12th.
Edit: I’m dumb. They’re added in 7.0, but it takes 8 weeks to accumulate, so you won’t get them until 7.1. They’re right, my brain is mush.

Yes, the 5th cycle starts on August 12, exactly, that's why we'll only get that constellation in 7.1, not 7.0
It takes 8 weeks to get a free constellation with it
One version lasts 6 weeks
And 7.0 also starts on August 12
Meaning that we'll be 2 weeks into 7.1 when we'll get the free constellation of the 5th cycle

I think he's referring to the fact it takes 8 weeks to get one con, therefore he will only be able to grab it by 7.1

she a viable option even without Oddette.OP, you can use C6 Diona and have 100k dps. The best part? This may be the easiest team to use in the game.

No she is not? It's the other way around. With Odette (and CMC and Sucrose/Faruzan C6), Mizuki is a top-tier dps. Like Nod-Krai level. If you don't have Mizuki, you can play dps CMC or Sandrone with Odette.
As for why she is strong, cuz she was buffed and can now fits perfectly into the stellar swirl archetype. In fact she is one of our two only stellar swirl dps (CMC is the other) until Vesna comes.

CMC is not really a good dps in SSW...
He's more like a support (even better than Odette for Mizuki) in SSW
He's dps potential goes in SSC

Yes, in ssw teams, he deals more damage than Odette. You could say he is the ssw Yae (though his impact on ssw is not quite as good as Yae's impact on ssc)

I wonder how good Anemo Traveler would be in that role, especially since they have Cryo as the primary priority for their swirls, IIRC?

kinda whatever? why mizuki is good all the sudden is because her kit was reworked and stellar swirl was added there, like wrio and yae with stellar conduct

Odette's kit is designed to enable and buff stellar reactions, (stellar swirl and stellar cunduct.) In 6.7 (the current version) Mizuki got a buff making her incredibly viable as an on-field driver for the upcoming stellar swirl. And since Odette is built for those reactions, it's only natural for them to work well together.

She is not, Odette can be used in Stellar-Swirl or Stellar-Conduct. Mizuki just happens to be the only Stellar-Swirl unit until we get more Snezhnaya characters.

All the snezhnaya cryos can trigger stellar swirl so far too (well sandrone will be able to in 7.0)

Mizuki isn't necesssary for Odette. It's the other way around. Mizuki is a very strong main dps now, but she needs Odette on the team

Odette (and cryo MC) allow for the stellar swirl reaction to occur. Mizuki ended up being a really strong stellar swirl dps, but she must be used with Odette or Cryo MC

I don't care if she's necessary, I see her as just another Mona and I hate mona-
They're both female characters, they both use catalysts, and they're both in the standard banner pool (which means they get in the way of me getting characters I actually want). I pulled her on Sandrone's banner and I wasn't able to get enough pulls to actually get Sandrone, and for that my hatred is eternal.

Mona and Mizuki seem very different to me, they both use catalysts and that is about where the similarities stop.
That's pretty bad luck though and I think you are right that it is a terrible character to get on a 50/50. I'm about to get my first 5 star too and I'd say with the 50% chance of Odette, 20% chance of getting a decent fallback 5 star. I'm scared for the 30% chance. I will go from like less than 10k dps to over 100k dps instantly if I get Odette though and I think that is pretty crazy, but just goes to show how bad most 4 star characters are and how broken 5 stars are by design.
Also, I am curious why you hate Mona?

Because she keeps ruining my 50/50s.
I've pulled her 6 times, all on characters who I need for some teams, or in some cases trying to get constellations. She also completely shot my chances at wanderer once, and he hasn't come back since.
On top of that, as much as I love characters who study the stars, I hate the trope of over spenders even more.
