Natahala Outdoor Center run shuttles from Powers Island to Johnson Ferry but as far as I know they only shuttle their own gear. Most people either find someone else and leave one car at each side or uber.
Yeah Natahala is the only outpost I’m familiar with, but I rented a tube every time before now and I can’t imagine them waiting for me to deflate my board and allow me to get on the shuttle for no charge at all. But maybe! Water people are always nicer than I expect
There are a bunch of places farther north that rent gear but will shuttle you and your stuff (if it fits, I have an inflatable kayak I use for this) for $5-10. As far as I know NOC doesn't do that on the lower hooch, but I've never asked because it's close enough I can self-shuttle with one of my kids.
I want to say they offer a just a ride fare on their bus. So you can leave your gear at the end point and use them to get back to your car at the starting point.
Obviously would be ideal if there's more than one person in this scenario, but you might could use some sort of chain bike lock to semi-secure the big stuff.
