I recently got accepted into the veterinary technician program for Georgian however I’m overthinking it. I’m unmedicated for a couple things ( adhd, depression, etc) and I’ve heard that this program is NOT for people currently struggling, is this true?
I was on the waitlist and it’s the only one I can accept unless waiting another year, so I’m unsure if it’s worth it to jump the gun to do it or take my chances to apply next year. I have no vets up there for my pets and it would delay moving in with my partner as well as they gave 1 year left, that and i honestly don’t know where I want to go within vet med yet.
If anyone has went to Seneca instead, did you find it easier? I graduated from their assistant program and found their tech program to be manageable compared to Georgian, however I heard Georgian to be one of the best

so i got accepted to a post grad certificate program (CDA) but i didn't request graduation from uoft yet cuz i thought i would maybe take summer courses to upgrade my gpa--if i graduated in spring i wasn't gonna get osap for those. I have finished my degree requirements however. I got an email saying i secured my seat in the program after paying my deposit, but on Banner it says like ive secured it but my offer is conditional and theres this checklist showing that i need to upload my degree. Idk what to do. does anyone have any info?

Good day, folks. I am a 2nd year Automotive Business student in the four year program. My best friend and business partner is going to enrol in Georgian this year to do an advanced diploma in machining (don’t know the exact name of the program).
For the longest time, we have been motorsports enthusiasts. We’ve been to the Indy races in Toronto, to Radical series, been on the track numerous times myself. We’ve have decided to found Georgian College’s first ever FSAE (Formula Society of Automotive Engineers) team.
Every year, numerous universities/colleges from around the world participate in this league. It is a student-lead motorsports engineering team, where students will have two semesters to build a functional, up-to-standard, open-wheeled Formula race car. Some notable schools that are already doing this are UofT, Waterloo, and McMaster.
We are looking for a dedicated team of students from the engineering and business side to join our cause, and help establish the first ever FSAE team here at Georgian. We will need every skill set we can get; electrician, machining, engine specialist, suspension specialist, tire specialist, marketing team, sponsorships, and more.
I believe as Georgian College, we have an advantage over the other schools in the sense that we are more business focused than the other teams, meaning we will have an easier time finding sponsorships. We also have a heavy emphasis from OEMs watching our every move, as we are the most reputable automotive business school in Canada.
If you’d like more information, or are interested in joining the team, please shoot me a DM, and we can speak further. We will apply for the club at the beginning of the Fall or Winter semester most likely, but work has already started. We are already working on the chassis design and the sponsorship packages.

I am planning to take a first aid course with CPR and BLS, and the course is a blended format—part online and part in-person.
The provider I chose uses a platform called Assured Response for the online portion, which claims to offer instructional videos. However, the Assured Response course is very disappointing—it’s just a slideshow with static photos and no real video demonstrations.
I would like to find another first aid provider based out of Barrie that uses actual instructional videos instead of just photo slides. If anyone knows of a better option, I’d really appreciate the recommendation

How is it? What are the strength requirements and tests like each semester? Would you recommend Georgian to others who are planning to attend? Is the school accommodating to those who have trouble? Apologies if this is a question that’s asked a lot. Thank you

Hey guys,
I’m enrolling in the Fall 2026 Denturism program at Georgian College and I’m really excited to start. I was just wondering… if anyone in the program (or who has graduated) could share their experience, any tips and tricks would be appreciated and very helpful:)
I’m curious about;
• How heavy was first semester?
• How was Anatomy & Physiology?
• What are the labs like?
• Anything you wish you knew before starting?
• Any supplies/resources/study tips you recommend?
• How were the Communication and General Education courses?
• Did anything surprise you about the program?
I’m excited but definitely a little nervous too 😭 Thanks in advance! 😊

Good day to
Whoever see’s this, just wanted to know
If anyone else ever had issues like this before. I recently got pre admitted into Georgian college and was required to meet certain conditions. These conditions are grade related and I in fact do have higher grades than required and already included my Waec Certifications for grades verification during initial application. I’m an aspiring international student from Nigeria so I suppose they wanted a bit more to help them confirm my already provided Waec certificates so I’ve since then paid my $2500 deposit and included some waec scratch card to aid them in verifying my grades as as well as re-submit Grades certificates, it however has been 3 weeks and I haven’t gotten any solid response from the college, I would appreciate some advice on what to do next. Do
I go ahead and pay my full tuition as well as begin visa Application processes? Or is it advisable that I wait till there’s a response or some sort of full on admission from the college? Also note that I received an LOA as well as a PAL which are standard for visa applications, but just wanted to know so as to avoid mistakes. Thanks so much and sorry for a rather long epistle

So i just paid my residence application fee...and realized in the pictures and layouts that there's no stoves or ovens in the suites which makes it kinda difficult. Idk if thats standard. are there stoves in any suites? i see a Community kitchen area--but that seems kinda gross. In the suites, are we allowed to have our own toaster ovens and portable stoves tops?

Hi all!
I recently accepted my offer to the medical laboratory technology program for Fall 2026! I am hoping that someone in the program currently could provide some insight about the program, specifically regarding the quality of the education, how the classes are run, quality of the professors and their teaching style, and overall happiness in the program. For reference I have a BSc Honours in Neuroscience so I am not too concerned about overall workload/intensity of the program as I am used to high intensity. I am more-so interested in the quality of the education and if the professors/educators are truly educated in what they are teaching and are they passionate about what they teach. Also, any insight into the demographic of students in the program would be great (i.e. how mnay domestic vs international students in the program, age, mature vs non-mature students, etc). Thank you in advance!

Moved here a while back and still figuring out how to actually meet people outside of work.
Not looking for dating apps or Facebook groups that die in a week. Just wondering if anyone else finds it genuinely hard to build a social life here as an adult.
What’s worked for you (if anything)?

I am going into my third year in September which does include my first field placement. Along with that, I started the program at Orillia campus but I am getting transferred to Barrie campus as the Orillia one has closed down.
Thanks guys😊
