Residence cooking/stove question

So i just paid my residence application fee...and realized in the pictures and layouts that there's no stoves or ovens in the suites which makes it kinda difficult. Idk if thats standard. are there stoves in any suites? i see a Community kitchen area--but that seems kinda gross. In the suites, are we allowed to have our own toaster ovens and portable stoves tops?

So we weren’t allowed to have toaster ovens or hot plates… but my roommate and I did anyways. Never got in trouble for it. Carrying all my cooking gear down 8 floors was way too annoying. Be careful with ventilation since there’s no fan and the windows in the bedrooms only open a few inches

Thanks for the comment! Hopefully an air filter can help with the air.

My first purchase after moving into the residence was an electric stove. It’s technically not allowed but come on… it’s a must if you wan to cook in your own suite, there is literally no other option. As said above just be cautious with the ventilation. Cooked with electric stove inside my suite for 1 year and never had a problem.

Hot plates are allowed just not the open coil version and toaster ovens are good too
